I altered the pattern slightly to make them fit newborn feet. I only used 12 pegs instead of all 16. For the cuff, I did 4 rounds, after folding I did 3, for the heel I did 4, and after the heel I finished up with 8 rounds. Just eyeballing it, it looks like this will be the perfect size for 0-3 months.

This is genius! Do you think these little bags made on this loom are big enough to hold the average size bar of soap? I would like to use kitchen cotton yarn and make soap sacks (soap savers) to donate to a local charity.

That probably is large enough, you can always measure the width of the soap and then measure the width of the loom. Remember you’re measuring the loom horizontally from the inside of each outermost peg. Michaels has a set of 4 rectangle looms with different sizes and the smallest one would definitely work, it’s 17.99 plus there’s a 25% off all items sale that’s been going on for all months.

Everything else has been easy to follow but I’m a little confused on the elastic part? How do you go from having a loop on one end and 2 strings on the other to only ending up tying 2 strings to finish it off? I feel sort of stuck ):

Easy to follow but when I finished the sock seemed really big for a baby, and my heel wasn't as visible. But I'm reading in the comments people have done more rows then the instructions say. Could someone help me out? Trying to make this for a friend's premie bay.

What am I doing wrong if the flat knit is getting hard to do cuz it is too tight.

Hi Marie, the reason your flat knit is getting too tight could be that you’re using too much yarn tension. When placing the yarn in front of the pegs, try to leave it as loose as possible. Very cute pattern! What size loom would I use for an adult version of this pattern? I’d love to try to knit bed socks.

Hi Mary, thank you so much for watching! All glory to God :) I honestly haven't tried an adult version for this pattern but I think any scarf-rectangular loom should work. The amount of pegs you use will determine the width of your finished project. You can mark the specific amount of pegs that make a comfortable width for your foot size using a bed sock you like as a reference.
