I know this video was made over a year ago, but I need to say how easy you made it look. Wonderful job😂❤. I've been sewing for over 50 years, sew I'm going to give it a try on my parents old chair. Thanks sew much.❤❤❤

Such talent, and patience! You made that look easy

This is a fantastic, clear, easy to understand tutorial. Just what I need to reupholster our dining chairs that have a similar profile. Do you have any videos or recommendations for replacing foam or batting?

I love it ! Very inspirational. Thanks !

I need one that is L shaped and goes across headboard and down wall on left side. It's for a lofted bed with no headboard and bed won't go completely against walls. Do you have a video making anything like that.

Forgive me as I have never stapled my pieces together and thus am in awe. - but are you using a standard stapler, or is that a special fabric stapler. TIA.

Did you add piping around the edges?
@JarrodLiPuma9 күн бұрын
I’m wondering the same. Seems that part was skipped.

Is that a stapler specific to sewing?
@kovifabrics10 ай бұрын
No, you can use a conventional stapler
@MikeHikeBike9 ай бұрын
Its called a Plier stapler. It is easier to use wither heavier papers and fabrics especially since you operate it one handed off of the tabletop. about $20USD, so not terribly expensive.
@MollyGreen-v6o10 ай бұрын
Great idea with stapler ………does it leave holes in fabric ?
@kovifabrics10 ай бұрын
The holes are miniscule and the fabric normally recovers, the weave moves back in tact. You want to sew your a little further out from the staples so that any holes wouldn't be visible from the outside finished side when inverted.

Why would you use silk? It's not durable.
@kovifabrics11 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and question. This silk is upholstery grade as are all KOVI Fabrics. This is also not an industrial application like a school bus or restaurant seat, so it can withstand the usage.

This is really great to see how it is made. I am a bit confused on how to determine fabric size to cut for my futon. I take it the buttons would have to be removed if you wish to wash the futon cover.

I was actually hoping this was about how to make a cushion, not just the cover. What to stuff it with etc.
@timravenscroft1113 Жыл бұрын
The fabric was beautiful.... But if I were a customer and looked inside and how it was made up, I would be very disappointed!... What it looks like from the outside is only the candy coating, it is the quality of the making up that will stand the test of time... Seems like a waste of good fabric

Custom couture garments are very similar. If you looked inside the linings, you would be shocked.

Love this video! Very simple directions, easy to follow, you tell, demonstrate, and do it! I love that you have a basic machine also! I am using my Mom’s 1971 Pfaff. I have the button maker too. Very easy to make without a pattern now. My dogs need a new futon cover. Have had the material for a year. Did not know to make it. Great corners too! Loved the corner trick! ❤️. 10 stars

Thank Lindsay for your comments. Yes Aimee does a great job as she is a consummate professional, whom we appreciate having on board for these tutorials. But that also means she is a busy professional and squeezing us in. We look forward to her next video as well.
