Great Video. Removed door cards yesterday and noticed the rear window chips have been removed from the window motors. Could I just replace the chips into the motors to plug in rather than the hole motor?

@@Nmidd9418 cheers 👍 Yes you can do that which I was gunna do but was a lot cheaper to buy the complete window regulator with the chip in than just buying the chip alone. Was more of a fiddly job though

Great video. I need to change my gear selector tomorrow. It went today and I’m parked in a precarious position. Do I need disconnect the battery or will I be ok to do it without?

Cheers buddy! Yeah always disconnect the battery when your doing anything electrical just to be on the safe side

Thx for the video! I am assuming this was a Hitachi unit? Do you think it is possible to unscrew the dryer unit and twist it off without removing the entire compressor unit off the vehicle?

No worries bud 👍 correct it's the Hitachi pump. I'd say it's possible but would probably be very fiddly and awkward but worth trying first maybe?

Cheers for the video. It’s just what I may need but before I plough ahead you may be able to help me. My lr4 is a 2016 and the whole media is out. I have power at the screen but it doesn’t display or tune into any radio channels. When I turn the radio off it shows on the screen that it’s off. When I turn on the sat nav it tells me it’s initialising but it doesn’t , my phone won’t connect and finally I can’t get the CD’s to eject. I’m thinking it could be a media module but for the like of me I can’t find it. Have you any ideas. TIA for anf advice.

I bought it from copart as a Cat N write off, it has had a front-end collision, which set the dash airbag off, hence why the dash had to come out. The aim is to get her back on the road and use it for towing purposes 👍

@Patr1ck2332 financially its probably not worth saving but I'll be using her as a work horse so she doesn't need to be mint. Some stage I want to learn how to do body work and spray paint, she will be an ideal truck to learn on as the body work is rough

@@AnythingLR I have a 2013 D4 so always pleased to see someone else care for them. I’m sure it will be worth the journey. They are remarkable cars full of character and soul. A modern day defender 110 in a more classic guise than the new defender. Enjoy it!

thanks for the great detail, this is the first video i've seen showing center console removal for a face-lift discovery 4 , that looks like a post 2014 LCV if I'm not mistaken ?
