I remember the Polaroid pictures of him with the 16pt hanging on the board at the old store. I took pictures of those photos with the phone I had at the time (2013). I have transferred them over onto every phone I’ve had since then. That deer and Tony’s muzzleloader deer, convinced me that I needed a muzzleloader. I don’t know Buddy personally but I have met him a couple times and talked a little bit about deer hunting with him.

My experience has been hit and miss - mostly miss. Around 3 years ago I had one that could no longer find the cellular service and Tactacam eventually sent me a new camera (newer model even). Since then I have had 3 more with various issues (black-&-white only, cellular dead and 1 was totally dead). They only replaced the newest 1. Of the 6 Tactacam Reveal cameras that I have left, 3 of them work pretty well in their current locations. However, 2 of them constantly false trigger even with the sensitivity set to 1 (which is useless since it doesn't trigger until my big body is a few feet from it). They pass the closet test and will mostly work if there are no shadows or trees within 50 feet but are fairly worthless in the variety of locations that I have tried them. I only went with Tactacam Reveal for the instant pictures (using them for security). My Cuddeback Cuddelink cameras hardly ever false trigger. I have had several of the Cuddelinks for over 3 years.

I love that place not having even been there because I have not 1 but 2 Xpedition’s & they’re bad ass bows!!! Also I love Mr. Tony. One of my all time favorite podcast was him on Jacob & Andrew’s show. Heck I’m in Mississippi, but I’m far south. I need to sign up. Mr. Toney’s tip about big bucks getting on their feet in a drizzling rain, you can take that to the bank!!!!! Probably about the best time to kill one. Or as soon as it stops raining.

Getting down about a bad acorn crop is actually opposite. U should be elated that only a small percentage of trees produce because it ISOLATES the deer to a small area. I'm also retired, and I've scouted places in Missouri, and where I live in Iowa. The acorn crop is beyond massive, and I know that means deer can go to Thousands of trees to eat. It makes hunting Much harder. On that subject of big deer disappearing, I've seen that hundreds of times. It's usually late August, exactly when deer in the Midwest shed velvet, yes, exactly when their testosterone level increases. They will Totally relocate to where they normally rut. They will often return to that summer location after the rut to gain weight back. Happens everywhere. I'm originally from Mississippi, but live in Iowa. I've seen that in every state. Good luck this yr to U 2 southern boys👍

I would say you have a lot of knowledge to offer but you need to learn how to get those words out effectively and efficiently. I have not doubt you are true woodsman and I believe your hearts in the right place wanting to help folks with their hunting skills so take a few classes on public speaking and your Channel will take off , constructive criticism from the public community. Also if you don’t believe in it don’t try and promote it,you have enough trophies on the wall to know most of those products are gimmicks.

Another tip that works for me on top of permethrin etc. is taking duct tape and taping bottom of pant legs on wrap around the leg sticky side facing pants then flip the tape sticky side out. The amount of seed ticks n chiggers that get stuck to it is amazing.

What would you say is a good size buck track in AL? In inches?
@18OUTDOORS18 күн бұрын
It’s kinda relative to where you are. But that track was larger than most I see in the area. On flat ground his dew claws were visible and his toes were spreading due to his weight.
