This song and the video said everything about who they were and what they stood for - making music that was fun and accessible. They were a unique blend of fine musicianship and social commentary who never took themselves too seriously. They single handedly changed Austraian music forever. Thankyou Skyhooks - job done!

Here in 2024. I first heard this song when I was 15. Laying in a hospital bed after stacking my Yamaha 125-A, motoX bike. This is what happens when you're young, STUPID and ride a motorcycle wearing only shorts and a pair of thongs (flip-flops). I was gravel-rashed from arsehole to breakfast time. Yeah-Nahhh.... I didn't have any brains or sense of danger when I was 15. A mate visited me in the hospital and loaned me his mono tape-player AND his brand new Skyhooks album on a cassette. I used to know all the lyrics to the songs on "Living In The 70s"
