As another opinion on this gun, I’ve got the spoiled brat first edition of this gun. It’s great. I also got it in 45acp. As well as 2 in 4.5 inch 9mm (including the Talo Negotiator edition). This is truly a great double stack 1911.

To the question at hand, yes if you change branch you will go through boot/basic again depending on time out of service and deference in job. For instance if you’re a marine and have been out of service for a few years you will most likely go back to basic training in the Army now days. A few years ago they had a program to reintegrate prior service from other branches, this no longer exists. I see prior service from all branches in basic nowadays regardless of prior job title. I got 19 years so I’ve seen the changes and god bless, we all need help.
