I love how in the story, "Loki" lives upto his name technically "manipulating" everyone to fight Odin and by the end, he's willing to give even Odin a 2nd chance

Fighting Heimdall twice was an intertesting experience. I have a habit of slipping into my characters' skins. When I fought Heimdall as Atreus, I was pissed off and my ego was bruised. "Condensing arrogant little prick! Stop dodging my attacks!" But when I fought him as Kratos, I was much less heated and more logical. "Ok, so the fight is like a puzzle. Once I figure out how to land the first hit, he's mine." Being able to see my characters' perspectives isn't new to me, but I've never been able to do it so clearly that it actually influenced my thoughts in real life. The mark of a masterwork game.

Love how in the end Heimdal sees the real Kratos in his memory when he was choking him. Guy saw the real monster before dying.

Looking back he got off crazy lucky, Old Kratos would sporting a Heimdall relic containing part of his body to help out with future adventures. New Kratos just chocked him out and felt bad about it afterwards 😭😅

That was satisfying to watch. They did a good job making Heimdall as hateful as possible, and seeing the light leave his eyes along with him falling forever silent is always nice given how much he loved to run his mouth.

Since I see no comments about it.. at 6:40 when kratos attempts to grab the horn and misses and then has to go back down and grab it again. That little detail is so good because we all do that as humans. When we’re exhausted or just being lazy we try to grab something fail and then embarrassingly have to try harder to grab it again. Kratos was clearly in distraught for a moment. Those little details are what makes or break games for me.

Fun fact that was an actual flub in the motion capture IRL. the motion capture actor missed the horn strap the first time but they kept it in because they thought it would just be so perfect after such an intense fight that Kratos wouldn't be able to grab the horn the first time around because he's either coming down from adrenaline or his blind focused rage (which only happened because Heimdall made it personal)

It's always irked me that mimir goes from "don't know if a warning is gonna cut it" to trying to stop Kratos from killing heimdall. Awesome video incredibly fun to watch!

Yo can flame whiplash the blades with one triangle button press, after any move with the blades or a parry with the shield just wait for apart of a second then hit the button it will happen it’s a matter of timing and needs some practice.

I expected Kratos to blow apart the rest of his limbs before literally gutting him but I guess strangling him works kinda..... sigh. Also, GOW1-3 Kratos wouldn't even need the spear to defeat Heimdall. The spear would just be gravy.

Yes only in the dlc there is a perk you can get along the way in Valhalla that automatically refrost awaken the axe when you kill an enemy with it.

I like how it stated Tyr was so strong it took all or asgard to beat him, so he is definitely stronger than odin or his brothers.

@AyazDaoud In one of the shrines in GOW 2018 if I remember correctly anyway it’s enough to face him to know he is one of the hardest bosses in the game and also has a various set of weapons and moves.

First, very well done. Second wtf is the point of the stun bar in a boss fight if it is physically impossible to stun them? Talking about how he never got hit and never stoped hitting until a scripted disappearance of tyr at half health where the bar went all the way down

There is some perks that makes Kratos deal more stun damage that can be found along the way from the gates of Valhalla to TYR those perks work better with the spear and can stun him more than once but because my run was about the path of the axe I was focused on strength, defense, luck and some other perks that suits the axe better check the build chapter at the end of the video you’ll get it. Because the spear explosion 💥 makes Heimdall get hit without seeing it coming, of course it’s a nonsense Kratos needs no spear to kill Heimdall he is just a spoiled boy confronting the only true warrior of Sparta.
