i still have the Kawasaki and let me tell you, I've beat and still beating this thing into dust( literally) and it's still working perfectly, i use it in my classic car restoration project(still on going) cutting and grinding down metal,removing old paint of metal, removing decade old rust, cutting sheet metal,cutting steel, etc, etc, etc, etc , now i'm using it in my house renovation, grinding down wood and concrete, cutting wood, cutting metal and plastic pipes, cutting rebar ,shaving down window glass( that i bought to big) cutting title( dry and with water), cutting stones, cutting concrete blocks, removing old paint from walls. The Makita where it was so expensive i use to baby it, blowing the dust out( air compressor) after every use and wiping it down and making sure i never use it till it got to hot and it died on me, i have never clean or wiped down the Kawasaki, NEVER!!! i use it till it gets so hot you cannot touch the upper portion. I cant believe i haven't gotten arrested for the amount of hours of absolute abuse i do to it, but it's still running like brand new. I bow down and give glory, honor and praise to whom ever made this thing

How do we know you really used 4 sheets? You did a close-up of the dynamat. But you didn't do a close-up of the Noico. So not a real good comparison at all. And for the price of doing one door with dynamat, you can do all 4 doors with the Noico.
@prayfawind5 жыл бұрын
i did not get paid to do it,i am not a pro, it was just simple diy thing i did for those looking for an alternative to Dynamat , if you believe it or not, it really doesn't matter

@Musicalpa6 жыл бұрын
Dude! If you're going to compare door sounds with different sound deadening materials, you need to use comparable doors. For example, Dynamat in the front left door vs. Noico in the front right door. The back doors are a smaller size overall, and for that reason it will close with a higher pitch than the front doors regardless of sound deadening. The same principle applies to musical instruments, such as a viola vs. a chello, flute vs a picolo, bass drum vs a bongo.

Why is everyone saying the Dynamat is so much more expensive? I bought the Kilmat 80 mil 36 sqft for $58.00. The Noico 80 mil 36 sqft was $63.99.
@richardrush93266 жыл бұрын
Dynamat 10455 Xtreme Bulk Pack (36sqft) is just 67 mil thickness, $150 + ship / Noico 80 mil 36sft is about $65

That's because you bought the 50 mil you said so at the very beginning of this video I've bought both the 50mil for my Dash enclosure and the 80mil for everything else. Theirs no difference between the 80mil & Dynamat Xtreme, & the price you pay for Dynamat you can add four layers and still have money to buy more instead of using Dynamat. The 50 mil is the competition for the thinner dynaplate
@sacooper8027 жыл бұрын
I just purchased the black 80 mil version, comparison to dynamat at about $4.00 SQ ft, Noico cost $1.80 Sq ft. Dynamat about 60 mil and Noico at .80 mil, another advantage of Noico, you can get Noico in 50 mil thick or 80 mil thick, I choose 80 mil as it gains 1.5x over 50 mil in sound deadening performance. Its made in Russia. Havent received it yet, will do a follow up comment, only concern will be is its adhesive performance as good as Dynamat. only complaint Ive heard on Noico is you need to work it more with roller to stick well, I let you know. Glad to see prices finally come down on basic butyl rubber sheets with foil and an adhesive. Dynamay always overpriced because back when they introduced it they had no competition. Buyer BEWARE, do not buy peel n seal from Lowes or Home Depot, that is an asphalt based combined with butyl rubber, gives off bad smell (TAR SMELL) at first and not as good as pure butyl. I know because Ive used it in past. it works fine but smelt bad in car for over a year, smell has resided a little now.

You used 50mil Noico(very thin) vs what looked like the .125" thick Dynamat. An unfair comparison. To do a fair comparison booth items must be the same thickness, mass and material composition. Noico is a great product when spec'd out properly for your application and installed properly. I recommend the 80mil for the first layer of your sound deadening/proofing "sandwich" on all possible sheet metal including trunk, floor pans, etc. Can't think of a good reason to purchase the 50mil, maybe the roof or anyplace you are restricted to tight thickness constraints. In the end Noico 80mil is not much cheaper than Dynamat and is only the first layer of sound treating a vehicle. You spend thousands on the audio/video equipment, speakers, install hardware etc. Spending a few hundred dollars on sound treatment is a no-brainer.
@prayfawind7 жыл бұрын
i would agree if i only had put one layer, finally i ended putting 5 layers to get the same weight and feel of the dynamat, seeing it was 50mil i would of thought doubling it up would be enough since 50+50=100 that wasn't the case
@jusufnurkic73507 жыл бұрын
prayfawind doubling up on sound dampener does nothing but add weight.. which in theory will help slightly, but there is many other products you could have used to achieve better results than adding five layers of this.
@prayfawind7 жыл бұрын
that maybe so, but i am loving the results car feels so different
@Specialized19937 жыл бұрын
Trying to figure out how noico is not much cheaper then dynamat when Noico is $1.70 per sqft and dynamat is $5 per sq ft. Noico 80 mil is around .70lbs per sq ft and dynamat extreme is around .40 lbs per sq ft. What am i missing?
@762watchagonedoo7 жыл бұрын
Thats the thinnest stuff noico makes (50mil). I have the 80mil noico in my car and it works great.
@moparrestorationparts39537 жыл бұрын
Thanks for going thru the trouble of making the comparison I can appreciate the extra work, I was just in the process of deciding which way to go. I also saw the big price difference but it will be about the same if you have to layer it as many times as you did to get equal sound deadening. Moparrestorationparts.com
@prayfawind7 жыл бұрын
yeah, that Noico isn't worth it, check the link below i ended up ordering different material 100mil and it's much better no smell as well www.ebay.com/sch/deimos_deals/m.html?ssPageName=&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2654

Thanks for the heads up and update, I will try something else as well, I have been using Boom Matte Spray and it works well for hard to reach areas and also makes a great water proof barrier just a little pricey so I try to buy it in a case. It works better the thicker it is so you also use more than what is recommended. Never tried the Real Boom matte material.....well anyway anything is better than nothing.......GTXJohnC

You can get to the plugs on the bottom of an 06 and an 07. But the plugs on the 2012 have changed. You have to take all that off to get to the plugs. Just some info. Nice video! I appreciate it. 💪🏼👊🏼🙏🏼

+SuperBikeSlim sadly i had to make a conscious and grow up decision to sell the bike, that bike was/is sweeter than pussy(pardon my Spanish) the roads here are very small and i always kept that bike over 100-160mph even in traffic driving between cars,no helmet and have ear buds in my ears listening to music that's so loud i couldn't even hear the engine, i used the white light to tell me when to shift, i got a kick on watching the speedo go up . I miss it already though :(
