Sometimes I hear songs I haven't heard or aren't as familiar with from Songs: Ohia, and I deeo-down I think they're newly released, at least to me.

When Im drunk, so drunk that playlist is already set, there is only Jason Molina in it, cause I know where this road always ends.

As I understand it, the singer from the band Morphine died on stage mid-song, somewhere in Italy. If you haven't listened to Morphine, check the album Cure for Pain. Trust me on this one 🙂

Wow, I have REALLY enjoyed this album! I feel it should have gotten so much more attention. What vocals, Dave Shouse! I always believe Dave Shouse on this album = emotional singing but also w sooo much variety. I’m sorry for the hurt that made him write this album; I think I understand, and it’s not a pretty story (well, starts off grand BUT ..... ). Glad he could write such good music that also helps exorcise the hurt, anger, love. Powerful stuff. Joan Wasser’s violin playing = fantastic. What a mood her playing can create, just great throughout. Love the variety of song types on the album. Think interesting how on other site comments not allowed on “The Wake of the Flood” (people fearful?) “The Last Thing that I Wanted was to Show Up and Blow Your Mind,” “Up to You,” “Sophia Rhodes(? title),” “Have You Seen Her”, etc. = Dave is brave. Good for Dave Shouse to put the truth out there. But what is music w/out truth??? I hope, over the years, somehow, more people will discover this quality album :)

Nona Nuvem Eu estou esperando há tanto tempo E chegou a hora Para você me dar tudo que você tem Mantenha-me na sua nuvem Sua nuvem nove Não quero que esse sentimento morra Você não vai me manter chapado Diga que você está aqui para ficar Deixe-me fazer do meu jeito Você sempre se demorou Por que você não me dá um som Diga que você nunca irá E minha mente pode crescer

One of the best Helium tracks ever, even if it's not typical for them. My favorite memory of this track is playing it while driving a 1990s subaru legacy wagon on a deserted beach under the moon. It seemed to echo out across the dunes.
