Saike Spectral Analyser can do up to 16-18 different channels for analysis i believe.

The first 3-4 keys on my Keystep are no longer responsive ... thanks for making this video ... I will be working to fix mine real soon! One of the most important features for me with this controller is its ability to change MIDI channels on the fly, but only if those keys are responsive!

In my case i had to replace the entire rubber keys, which i received from Arturia (after following up for 6 months, they sent the rubber keys) which was already late, and just now fixed it, and finally all keys are working perfectly fine (Same here 5 keys i think were not working). Finally it's done now. Thanks again 😇.

The launcher has been perfectly adapted to the linear SO workflow. So I don't understand why this should work exactly like it does in Ableton or Bitwig. The individual length of the loops can be easily adjusted with a right click (Quantize option).

Why would anybody expect S1's new laucher to be as good as Ableton's or Bitwig's? It just came out! It's a great first version and it's very useful for me. Im using it with my Launchpad X.

Every DAW now tries to copy Ableton. But hey...if I need a clip-based DAW, I'll use Ableton and not some poorly copied nonsense. There are still a lot of things missing (MIDI Editing etc.) or could be improved in Studio One. 🤔😮‍💨

Thank you for being one of the very few reviewers to notice that S1-7's integration of cells is far more BItwig-modeled than Ableton Live (at least with having both timelines side-to-side)! I too am both an S1 and Bitwig user. Both great daws but imho in mutually exclusive ways: Bitwig for the creative, productional and sound design stuff; S1 for the backend mixing/mastering.

I had that very similar problem with my focusrite also but in my case ..when recording a vocal the waves of the vocal is too small unless I use gain to Boost it up...I try buffer I try it but it's same.

Can the launcher record automation??

An amateur here but I use Ozone on the master bus. Is it better to use Neutron there or is Neutron more for individual buses? Thanks

Before criticizing it online, please check to see if a feature is part of that software. Preaching what you need to know is suitable for beginners.

couldn't load midi AU in DP, but got it working in Reaper. misleading drum sounds included but no built in player

Not being able to overdub/record mix into a cell is driving me crazy too.

You do have that loop extension feature in the Launcher also. Overdubbing is something I cannot find, and live looping seems to be non existent. You can control the cells with the Launchpad and Atom SQ but you cannot control the scenes from what I have figured out. They need to add some features and be able to control more from midi standpoint.

Scenes can multiplied any number of times, it is possible just open the scene playlist everything is adjustable

Can't you hover over the bottom of the clip in the edit section and drag it to increase the loop length? That's also a new feature.

Thanks for the video! Finally a video that shows what I want to know about the clip launcher. Live looping. Sad to find out it's so restrictive. I had hoped for an ableton live type experience myself, but maybe it will improve in later versions. For now, I will probably refrain from upgrading.

Yes I agree I like the new Launcher but I am having trouble triggering the clips with my Touch Screen sotware that works with mutes and solo but not launcng clips midi asigning is a bit hit and miss i think Midi learn on the buttons would be good rather than building a virtual console first .

Video summary: Studio One 7's launcher is ok but not as good as BitWig's version.

Reinstalling drivers is sometimes the crazy talk nonsense thing that actually works. They should’ve done an “In Search of…” episode on it. It’s absolutely maddening if you dwell on it too long.

Regarding the extension of a loop, I know it is not exactly the same but you can increase the number of plays for that loop in the playlist feature.

Yes, you can transpose MIDI and Audio files. Click on the file and the settings are in the inspector or actions window
