Does the spin cycle remove most of the water from the clothes ? I noticed that the rpm for spin was 700, and I read somewhere that it should be at least 1000 rpm. Any comments on this ? Thanks.

Most of the time. Occasionally, I open it, and the clothes are still soaked, and I have to run another spin which is an option on one of the knobs.

As an avid animal lover, I am appalled at that. I'm sure he could clearly see that it was an animal enclosure, and if you didn't hire him, why is he spraying near your yard? I would definitely ask your neighbors if they are the ones who hired him and try to talk to them about it and call Orkin's main office.
