I heard somewhere that in Russian, pronunciation of the letters never changes, unlike English or French, when you often have to learn all kinds of illogical spellings! It makes a lot of sense to have all these extra letters, plus characters to ensure a word is pronounced correctly, when every word is spelled phonetically once you understand the language.

Serb bulgarian war of 1885 is called the war of captains against generals, cause the highest rang of bulgarian army was captain, cause we was a free state from 7 years.....also we used to think that ottomans will attack us and all our army was at the south border and when the serb attacked us only schoolboys and elderly people were send to stop them and they succeed......serbs were humiliated by schoolboys from the town of vidin and when the serb general said to the officer commanding the town militia to give the town,he answered that he was train to conquer towns not to give ones and if he want to enter, can do it only as a prisoner😂😂😂.....soon after our troops came after 3 days and three nights marching without rest and went after the scared and retreting serbs all the way to belgrade,it was stopped by austria, who told us if we dont go home we will fignt austrian army instead😂........russian officers residing in bulgaria at that time said the bulgarians will anihalate the serbians😂😂,also there are some volunteers from italy who were building railway at that time, cause they saw the backstubbing of the serbs and was angry rightously....by the way Bulgaria had no lost battle after the liberation and no captured flag, while we have captured flags from france, britain, russia, romania, greece, serbia, turkey, etc, and we were called balkan prussia back then, even after the balkan war and the capturing of adrianopol fortress officers all the way from japan and from many european states came to visit the site and explore the tactics we used and they are now in military textbooks arround the world😂💪,cause it was not impossible to take, also bulgaris defeated the british empire and this was the biggest lost ever for the british army-40-50 000 soldiers just in one day ,smth they didnt forgave us and thats why we still strugle economicly as a punishment for this battles, cause britain controls european politics, being closest to the US.......thanks for the good reviews for our country and godbless

As a half greek and half bulgarian due to my mom i've come to hear bulgarian everyday at home and see how massive of a language it is. As a result of that (and other factors like living in germany and speaking mainly greek) i've never tried learning bulgarian because i was scared. My mom and my whole family from bulgaria were sad and they thought i should learn it since family, culture, heritage etc. Now that i can finally read, write and speak greek and german without any problem, now that i grew up and matured and now that my love for languages has grown in the past years even more (trying to learn korean, italian and in the future arabic) i feel finally ready to start learning bulgarian. Hopefully i can make my family proud. Thank you so much for the video. Learning the alphabet is always the first step in learning a language so thank you for starting my and many othrs journey that is bulgarian.

I am Serbian and I speak Bulgarian, Macedonian and Russian. The easiest slavic language is Macedonian. It has best of both worlds. Easy grammar as Bulgarian and even easier orthography as Serbian. One letter one sound, unlike Bulgarian.

Long time ago(I am Serbian)we were using old slavic language wich is close to Bulgarian or maybe Russian...for example the founder of our ortodox church is Saint Sava Nemanjic...if he was here with us today he wood sound like a Bulgarian guy...but the founder of serbian language(Vuk Karadzic who was on a Austrian payroll, traitor) changed that old language into Serbian and separated us from our other brothers...allthough there is no Slavs, that is a western term for Serbians...you speak about north Italy...Venetto was s a region of Serbian tribe...before Rome even existed...that tribe geterd together with southern latin tribe and formed a town wich in time grew into Rome...see how many Roman emperors were Serbian..18 proven..we know it is much more but ok..bigest one is Constantin the great...and the word TRIBE comes from TRIBALI wich was the name of Saint Savas TRIBE...that is were the word TRIBE came from...allthough Serbian word for TRIBE is PLEME from words like PLEMIC(the one with Kings gens) or PLEMENIT(the noble one)...we are the oldest one...in the days of Egypt a priest was called BAL and the King or Emperor was called KAN( you know like Gingis KAN)...so BALKAN land of Priests and Kings..just a small part of Serbian heritage..you ask Hitler about us and you'll see...even Putin sad Serbians are our brothers nation and that he dont understand why the west allways wanna destroy us(Russians are Serbians but they forgot)....

Bulgarian language is serbian language without using slavic grammar. It could be easiest depending to whom. For Greeks it's mission impossible, the same for Italians,Spanish,French English even Russians. It would very easy to southern Slavs, Czechs, Slovaks,Polish.

@@golyplot Bro slavic grammar must have declinations. Bulgarian doesn't. 90% of words in bulgarian are the same as in serbian(croatian). That small procentage of Greeks in Bulgarian lead to broken southslavic language, anyway made by Russians in the 2nd half of 19th century.
