Terry both he was playing just blows me away man every time I hear him. In my opinion he's one of the best drummers I've ever heard.
@hazor7772 жыл бұрын
ALL his work is phenomenal . I was lucky enough to see him w/Jeff Beck - the energy coming off the stage was RIDICULOUS!!!! One tune in particular : Big Block - he was just destroying the drum kit , every second it sounded like it was about to all fall off the stage - BUT IN A GOOD WAY, HAHA!

I recall reading an interview with Terry during the Mission Persons era. In his own words, M.P. was a purely commercial effort, intended to be short-lived. Record a couple of albums, tour, make a tonne of money, then get out before the music becomes stale.

I'm surprised that I can't find this tune played by a surf band, but pleased to find this excellent rock version. Only 979 views in nine years though! Another three years or so, and I expect this will start popping up in everyone's recommendations...

There are guitar-heroes, shredders, and super-skilled guitar players and above all, there is the coolest, the most fresh and inspiring guitarist on earth, and this guy is named Dave Martone!

In "Thingfish" Dale shoves a fountain pen in her butt. I wonder if that's why Terry has such a liking for pens.

What I really want to know is his relationship with Dale, I know it must be hard, but to fans of "Missing Person's" it seems like there's no closure there.

If Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee still want to do music together despite Neil Peart's retirement, they could do a lot worse than to form a combo with TERRY BOZZIO.

Terry Bozzio is a prodigy on a drum set. and He does have the ego to go with it. Watching him and Chad Wackerman play together, I was amused that TB had to have sheet music in front of the drum set to play the Black Page. Crawling inside of his drum set was really fun. And he was very generous and trusting. 9+/- kick drums set to C diatonic and all his toms and cymbals tuned to pitch as well. Listening to two drummers play music with just drums is amazing. Zappa (w/Bozzio) New Years eve in 1978 at UCLA Pauley Pavillion with THREE KILLER LEAD guitars Adrien Belew and Steva Vai and Frank Zappa, including Ray White and Ike Willis on rhythm guitars and vocals was a religious experience ! 5 of the very best GUITAR players !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............EVER !

Really, this is just such good stuff. Real musicianship riding on top of, along with, and below a very heavy rhythmic groove. And then there’s Will Lee. Keith Carlock. Oh, yeah, those guys.
