I think I'll try making elm arrows soon. It seems to me that this will be a good material. I also thought about the wood of smoke tree and maclura. As for smoke tree, in my experience it is a very flexible and elastic wood for bows, and I haven't used maclura for bows yet, but based on the experience of other craftsmen it is also a very good material.

Wont work. He forgot the rawhide boss or cup in the bottom on the quiver. To keep the broadheads from cutting thru. Beautiful work when he learns that.

Here is a bit of Bible and science regarding sling as a weapon. For this model: David was a boy s 5 feet tall his rival Goliath was 7 feet tall The distance between them =75 feet David picked up a one ounce = 28 gram stone. With his years of practice the rock leaves the sling at 100 miles per hour . In one half a second ( 150 feet / sec= 100 mph) A one ounce rock delivered to the face 75 feet away flying at 100 miles per hour will fracture numerous bones teeth jaw ,cause blindness concussion black out brain bleed and or death. Yes it is an effective weapon

Comrade, this is not "Yakut, believe me." Yakut knives are sharp-nosed, almost like a needle. And the sharpening angle is straight in the original, not with a lens.

It's way cheaper to just buy a head and arrow. The tools alone plus wear and tear on them isn't economic unless you're making videos for profit

I know it's late, but how about getting some Hardy tools? It will prevent unnecessary marks on the anvil. Otherwise, great job, a swiss dagger. On the other hand, how about a blacksmith's apron? This is said by someone who at some point had his clothes catch fire. I hope I have translated it well, English is not my native language.

sounds like a good idea , i also had clothes Catch fire before , so an apron would also be a good idea :D! and i am happy you like the dagger brother :D! and you translated the message beautifully :D!

instead of adding a 2nd blade to the hack saw to cut the nocks, go to your hardware store and buy a round "tile cutting" blade that fits on the hack saw...nearly PERFECT size for cutting nocks...

Cool :) Somebody with more holes in their clothes than me haha :) Look up - timber hitch / bowyers knot for the proper knot on your lower nock. Maybe round your backs edges a bit more and to improve the performance of elm and most whitewoods look up heat treating.
