Not understanding why he's using a "C" foot when this machine uses a "D" foot so well.
@EllicottCitySewVac3 күн бұрын
Well, the reason is you can't see the light from the laser beam very clearly with any of the "D" feet that come with the machine, whereas the 20C Open toe foot makes it quite easy to see.

Excellent video! Tomorrow we are trading in our Janome Continental 17 for a Solaris Vision (which we should have bought to begin with!) and after seeing your video we are really excited to have a much simpler process of edge-to-edge. We’ll definitely miss a few features but it’s going to be so wonderful to quilt our large heavily patterned designs without using a complicated digitizer and another program (Embroidery Link) to get the design to the machine. Your instructions were so clear and the delivery was exceptional - hoping to see you often as we learn this amazing machine.

Excellent video! I bought my 790PRO as soon as it was available in Canada, a few months after you made this. I have to say that I was sitting with my mouth hanging open as you showed us the gifts with the preorder. I preordered mine and we got absolutely nothing with it, just the machine and embroidery module in the box. The comparison between dealers in Canada and the States is mind-blowing.

I'm just a bit late to this party...just got my Solaris & wondering if there is a way to 'combine' the repeats on e2e Q patterns, instead of stopping, trimming threads & realigning...I mean, we have these ginormous hoops because no one likes to rehoop a bazillion times, when they could minimize the rehoops by combining. BTW, your vid's are the best I've seen so far. Kudos!

I commented on another of your B990 videos that I’d love videos on the frame Q24, which , of course, I still would. Tho now I see you could make MANY videos and never run out of features / projects on the 990. It’s awesome. Thank you for demonstrating so well.

Hoop Bracket Location... jogged my memory! I looked up Janome Embroidery Machines and sure enough the hoop bracket attaches on the right on their Memory Craft 550E. Perhaps there are other smaller machines that do the same. Thank you for your videos!

Your tutorials are great! I am having one problem I need suggestions on. I am using BQM BD804 on my 990, giant hoop, and quilt sandwich with quilt cottons on top and bottom and By Annie Soft and Stable in the middle. At the end of each iteration, the design ends up with a messy thread nest on the bottom. I am making sure to keep the machine clean and oiled properly. What should the thread cutting be set at?
@ChrisandTagMills2 ай бұрын
Sorry for the question above. I turned on Quilt Settings in the Stitch out Summary and it now matches the last stitch to the first perfectly and allows me to cut the threads, tie and hide them.

I'm having trouble hooping up my quilt projects. It's difficult to get the 3 layers in the hoop, and often very difficult to get the screw closure closed. Any suggestions? Or where I might ask?
@EllicottCitySewVac2 ай бұрын
Might be something goin on in the lock mechanism itself, I have not had any issues getting stuff hooped with it myself. Can you get it to lock in on stuff other than a quilt?

Ugh! This afternoon I removed a quilt, and it wouldn't close EMPTY. Finally got it to close by setting it flat on the table. I'm perplexed. Sometimes it works nicely, while other times it's like it's jammed.
