I've been around the block a few times. BB&T was the best company I have ever worked for. The only thing sadder than watching these towers go is what the company became.

I've spent many of spring a fall outages at this plant, I can't believe they are tearing it down. Many years down the road they will be rebuilding them when they realize clean energy isn't clean at all and it's just a cash grab 🤷♂️

Nice to see a God Honouring company at work. I am as an electrical engineer, just very concerned at this global demolition of power stations with very few plans to replace them. Solar and wind will not alone be sufficient.

Wow Back in 1980's I was standing across Table Rock Mt . on the Wiseman View look out I saw a small Cessna style plane fly through the gorge when two seconds later an fighter plane flying sideways flew past me I could clearly see the pilot Seconds later another fighter plane flew by but this one went vertical, straight up! Now that was a show!

My dad worked here for most of his life. He loved this plant and the people he worked with. He passed away in 2017 and for some reason watching this just made me sob uncontrollably. Maybe because seeing it reminded me of him and now that it’s gone, it’s reminding me that he’s also really gone.

I used to live 3 and 1/2 miles from there. I used to deliver pizza there quite often a decade ago. I used to hear the inmates threatening me constantly every time I delivered food. They'd threaten to kill me as I walked to and from my car.

I totally understand the need to train and have razor sharp aviators but respecting a federal wildness area would also be nice. As a civilian doing the same it isn't illegal but at the same time you're requested not too.

This is nothing compared to when they had 4 gates open with water going over the other gates and spillway in 2003 or 2004. They shut down the bridge cause water was splashing onto hwy 16 and bridge was unstable. It all happened after hurricane Francis and hurricane Katrina dropped rain for a week straight

I was at Linville Falls yesterday (5/11/23) and they flew over. Was literally the loudest sound I’ve ever heard in my life. They were so low and I had no clue this was actually common until I found this video.

They do it for low altitude training and terrain flying training. They fly low and close to ground to stay undetectable by radar. It was way more common when the war in Afghanistan was at it height.

My son and I were camping in Lost Cove Wilderness area on 6/14/23 and two flew over, again VERY low. It was deafening! When I heard that initial high-pitched ripping sound, my brain said "No way there are fighter jets approaching!".
