Reading your responses to more recent comments, I am very glad for you that you are doing so well! My situation was very similar to yours. I was diagnosed three years ago, with 4+3=7 Gleason Score (no perineural invasion, though), PSA 9.2, with 90% cancer in all of the biopsy cores. I agree with you wholeheartedly that the biopsy should be an MRI fusion biopsy. I had had a blind in-office biopsy two years earlier, with all of the cores benign. As it turned out, my cancer was growing in a highly unusual location (at the apex of the prostate), and was initially missed. In any case, I'm actually glad that it worked out that way, because there was no mushiness in choosing treatment. I was relatively young at the time (62), in otherwise excellent health, and wanted to avoid the non-prostate related side effects of radiation down the road. I underwent a radical prostatectomy, and my PSA has been undetectable since. I am doing very well, and look forward to many more years of life!

I understand completely what you are going though. I went for a normal yearly examine and I had absolutely no indications I might a have problem. The initial PSA screening that I received from my primary doc was a 6.2. After seeing a urologist a month later my PSA rose to 8.6. Went in for a biopsy and it indicated i had 5 of 12 samples with cancer, although mine was rated as a 3-4 - Gleason score 7. A full body PET scan showed it was contained in the prostate. Initially I did not want to have my prostate removed because of fear of losing or having issues with my urination and sexual function. It weighed on me for several days so I pray for you and want you to make the right decision that works for you. I decided with having my prostate removed. it has been 9 months since the surgery and I believe it was the best decision for me. For me my primary considerations for removal were my family and having the best opportunity to be there for them in the future. Post surgery i have some urinary issues although minor. I am able to perform sexually although it is very different and it takes more planning. I do not have any regrets. so far my test results indicate that the cancer is no longer around and I have more peace inside myself. My thoughts and prayers are with, brother.

I’m 4+3 with no spread and no urinary issues. My local consultant said that he would like to remove my prostrate. I had great guidance from a friend who suggested I see if I’m eligible for braciatherapy and CyberKnife, and both questions came back as a ‘yes’. CyberKnife is my much preferred option and I’m having my second consultation in a few days time. I’ve cancelled my operation and I’m happy and optimistic at last. The answer may not be what you want because there are so many variables, but I encourage anyone with similar to investigate these options, at least CyberKnife which you can find many videos on here on KZbin. By the way, all the best guys suggested I have a PET-CT scan to say 100% whether I have any spread. It cost my insurers £3,600 but the peace of mind it gives beats anything. In 6 months time I hope to get away virtually unscathed. Good luck! 😊

Thank you for this. I am Gleason 3+4 with a psa of only 4.8. My doctor is fantastic and made me have a multitude of tests before I had to decide on the treatment I wanted. I had an abdominal ultrasound scan, a CT scan to determine if there was anything else in the tissues, a radio scan for the bones, an MRI scan to target where the tumor was, urine flow tests to make sure that nothing was blocked and several blood tests. Then I had the biopsy under general anasthetic. With this wealth of information I then had a joint meeting with the radiation doctor and the surgeon who each went through every step of their proposed treatment outlining the benefits and side effects. In the end I have decided on the operation next week as all the doctors agree that at my age (68) and level of fitness (very fit) with no signs of any cancer outside the prostate i will have a better chance of a full recovery with the option of radiation at a later date if other cancer appears.

I’m two weeks post surgery… thanks for the videos of your journey. I had the same numbers as you…Gleason 4+3=7. I’m also 56 when diagnosed! I elected for surgery without consulting radiation Dr for alternative treatments. My dad died from this same cancer and went with the radiation option. They didn’t get it all. So far, pathology was good, lymph nodes were clear and cancer was localized within margins. It was close to the nerve as well, I will have to wait and see what my blood test will show. It’s interesting how much we talk about the numbers, the process, the options, the side effects, recovery etc… not much out there discussing the emotional trauma that comes with disease and treatment… I didn’t expect the grief and sense of loss that comes with it… a different kind of pain but lingering longer and in some ways harder than the physical pain. Is this something you experienced too? Anyway, I’m glad to see you doing so well after 5 years… Inspirational really!

I had a targeted biopsy that showed a Gleason score of 3+4=7. Group two. Was considered favorable. I had my treatment plan determined years ago. Thanks to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute with Dr Mark Schultz and 20 years ago I went with my Dad for his prostate cancer treatment. So I had a lot of experience and research for the last 20 plus years. I went with the 5 high dose of SBRT radiation treatments. Which took two weeks (Every other day) As a reminder if you have a Dad or brother who has or had prostate cancer, you are double the risk in getting it, so start being checked at age 40. Wow I did not know that about bananas I will look that up I added the banana to try to increase tryptophan so I can raise my serotonin levels I added the banana to the shakes to try to help my brain because I've been having some seizures and probably have epilepsy

Hey thanks for that tidbit I just looked it up and yes the flavanols are decreased by up to 84% by adding banana to my shakes well good thing I've only been doing that for a couple days I will continue to eat bananas but I will eat them not in my smoothies I will get my bananas by freezing them and blending them into a faux ice cream adding some walnuts and a couple of semi-sweet chocolate chips for a treat now and again and get that tryptophan and just continue doing my shakes with blueberries and nothing else like I have been for the last year

Yeah, that video you watched just a little old. I'm actually coming up on my fifth year in October. I'm getting tested but yeah, 4 plus years cancer-free so far. What I use for my Blood Pressure is pure distilled t. HC oil. I mix it into MCT oil, which is fractionated coconut oil. It's not that hard of a process since you're already dealing with t. HC oil that has been decarbed, so you just mix it with the oil. Warmed them both up a little bit. Mix them together. My mix is pretty concentrated. Twenty eight grams of t h c oil two about forty Ounces of MCT oil that gives a ratio where about a teaspoon. Or 2 is good for the whole day. Each teaspoon comes in around 250 mg. Or more. But dosing is definitely individual dependent on your body.It took me many years to figure out the right dosages. And i'm still having trouble sometimes I accidentally take too much sometimes and I get real tired

So awesome to hear that you're healing so fast. I had a bunch of infections right out of the gate. And I was not doing any kind of activity for a good 6 months. And it took me 18 months to get back to work. But I'm doing pretty good now, still. Have some erectile issues, but getting help for that too.Recently with the trimic shots. That's another story but they work

@@jijigullas632 I use thc distalate oil mixed with fractionated coconut oil (mct oil) i dilute it so a tablespoon is 400mg thc and break that into 2 doses . That is a very high dose maybe starting with 50 mg doses first. it takes 30 minutes to 3 hours to take affect after ingesting and can hit hard sometimes not the same as vaping or smoking but i dont get the lowered bp if i smoke it only orrally for bp for me.
