Another great video guy's & a trip down memory lane for me going into that record shop + the poster of that naughty tennis girl wow that was soo naughty for back then hehe??🤭 And OMG did you bring back awesome memories talking about bat motorcycles I absolutely loved that place!! And I used to be addicted too that place growing up in swanley I went there with my biker mate's every few weeks & every single time there was different bike's what a place that was thanks fellas awesome video as usual!!!👌🏻👍🏻😃

Ha yeah for sure about the Tennis Girl , and you kind of forget just how good Albums were even just to look at first and then listen to them, just don’t seem to do that anymore , was a great time in motorcycling when all the Grey imports were about, Magazines like Performance bikes and Fast bikes doing reviews on them, I had 250 2 strokes and 400’s around that time myself… and that’s why I have an RGV,KR1S and an NC30 now.. just love them
@davelawrence5947 күн бұрын
@ProjectMoto Totally agree with you there on everything & you very lucky to be in a position where you work in a great motorcycle dealership to have the help & knowledge with doing up the bikes you know have as ive had them too back in the day but trying to buy bikes like RGV'S,KR1,s,RD'S so on & so forth is behold what im prepared to pay for all the best bikes I've ever owned but never realised back then & are now way to expensive unfortunately!!🙁 But just enjoy them now you them back!!👌🏻👍🏻

@ it’s always the way mate with bikes you used to have, at the time you just move on to the next bike and don’t think what they would be worth in the future especially if you want to try and get them back as the ones you really want cost so much more… would of been nice if you could of just kept them all
@davelawrence5946 күн бұрын
@ProjectMoto Yep agree with you there & most of my bikes i bought were when I was living with my parents so no real shed or garage of my own but my dad let me use his shed for at the time i had a KMX200,RD400,GPZ550 And that was just a few that i should have kept let alone my DT125,HONDA CB600F,KR1,TZR,CBR1000R, IT goes on & on!!!😢👍🏻

From your conversation with the guy at the Honda dealers on about that huge importers, they called them "grey imports" some of them bikes were trick as FZR400 RRSP, GSXR400RRSP etc, went there a few times with mates to pick up there new pocket rockets. The poster shop in my town was called "Atheena" (don't think it's spelt like that).

Beautiful bike and I didn't know it existed until now. I grew up around bikes here in my village but mostly 4 strokes and dirtbikes. Alot of bikes I grew up with like all the honda xrs. Honda xr 250, 400r, 600r and 650r. Also there is two cr 500 here and all the other brands like yamaha yz 125 and yz 450f, kawasaki kx 450, Suzuki rmz 450 and rm. I never heard about this 750 beast and it's a beautiful bike I would love to ride it.

Have a look at it mate: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWi1hmigeNuti7c Then I have a 2023 Yamaha R1 as every day bike (don’t have a car!) and this engine has impressed me a lot. Its balance is unique: you want to go fast, it goes fast!!! You go 30 miles on the north circular, no problem at all. No overheating… All is perfect!!! What a bike! I've got a funny story about the 851 Superbike. It was my first love, before I even had a driver's license, I carried around a magazine with a Ducati 851 Superbike on the cover in my backpack in school. I knew every spec. Well, I did a painting of one in Art class in watercolor, and my teacher who was an old crotchety hen, was mad at me for swirling my brush in the paint so long to make in opaque, because I hated how watery watercolor looked. She said, "IT'S NOT TEMPERA PAINT!!!" very mad that I wasn't painting in typical watery watercolor fashion. There was a student section in the next art show at the school where students could show their work, and professional artists would have their work for sale. There were no prices on the students work, they were just there for show. To my surprise, my teacher had to contact me, because someone who went to the show was interested in buying my Ducati 851 picture. He said he's never seen watercolor so vivid! Haha. So now my teacher, who hated me, and my technique had to deliver the news to me, that someone wanted to buy the piece that she had chastised so much. This is in about 1992-3 I think. I told the guy $75 and met him at the school. He gave me $100 for it. He said he had an 851 Superbike in his living room. I let my teacher think it was my "vivid" watercolor technique that sold it since she hated it so much, lol. No other students sold anything at the show. Sometimes I do still think about the bike though, so many years later, hence me watching this video now. I wouldn't mind having one in my living room. If I ever see one out in the wild, I will beg them to let me take it for a spin. Perhaps they will like my story. Cheers.
@ProjectMoto7 күн бұрын
Ha very interesting, always great when something like that happens , I bet the Teacher still thinks about that now too 😂 they are still one of my all time favourite bikes to look at … I wonder if the guy who bought the picture still has it

Does anyone hate where the license plate is?
@bojankonecnik851920 күн бұрын
It devalues the appearance of beautiful thick rear tyre
@ProjectMoto7 күн бұрын
Yeah but people usually put a tail tidy or side mounted number plate on, unfortunately it’s law that a number plate has to be past the rear tyre to sell a bike from new so they have to put it somewhere
@bojankonecnik85197 күн бұрын
@@ProjectMoto Yes I know, I saw some publications from USA, where they put number plate sideways and they In majority do not have problems with authorities, but I don not know how would be in Europe, especially in Slovenia where I came from
@ProjectMoto6 күн бұрын
@ the police here in the UK are only sometimes bothered if you have a small number plate, they are not bothered about a tail tidy , think other European countries are getting hotter on things like number plates and especially exhaust noise now though so I hear from people who go touring around Europe
@bojankonecnik85195 күн бұрын
@@ProjectMoto In Slovenia we have quite stricly legislation regarding second part on the motor bikes. If you do not have everything homologated, you do not pass tehnical inspection. Everything must be homologated. I have MotoGuzzi Bobber V9 and I put another exhuast pipes on my bike (Zard) which is very laud and a different side bars mirrors and the exhust pipes I have already homologated but not side bars mirrors which are from China, so there will be problems I think. Far more rigid are in our naigbhour country Austria where each police control have sound chechs everywhere with them and if you are too loud, which with my bike is normal, they take your plates and you must pay at least 800,00 EUR fine and prohibition on further driving.
