Having been thru similar issue with older building, may I suggest a second French drain further out from the one your putting in as well as gutters on the building. Much respect and well wishes! Enjoy your videos very much… cheers!

Water is probably due to a negative slope going towards your slab. I'm doing the same thing as you, but I'm doing it around my basement. I'm digging 4 feet out from my foundation and about 4 feet deep around the house. I'll put the solid pipe against my foundation, but the slotted pipe is 4 feet from the foundation. Gutters would probably help your situation, but that looks like a metal garage. You should do more of these types of videos.

Good luck. We bought a house last year and the home owners made zero repairs before closing, they knew they had us right where they wanted us, we closed and have been working ever since

We had everything inspected, and we wouldn't sign off on the house unless the old owners put the funds in escrow to fix the issues found during the inspection. The title company is holding 1 1/2 times the costs to cover any overages or other issues that arise. They do not get any funds back until we sign off on the work with the title company. The seller also paid for a home warranty that covers things that pop up. I completely thank Nancy our real estate agent for setting it all up. The pipe, and junction box were on the inspection report, and we did not ask them to cover those repairs as I had no problem doing them myself. I wanted to see what the condition of everything was under there any way. I'm a nerd when it comes to old things including houses. Most of the inner workings of the house have been updated less than 10 years ago including nearly all water and drain pipes luckily.

God bless you. I am a 77 yr old female. I do repairs on my house. It has kept me fit. One thing that has kept me going is that Jesus was a carpenter and a builder. He wants me to do this. There is no doubt in my mind.

I find it interesting and I am glad you told the experience to us. I definitely think something has been coming here from some where else for awhile. I am just happy that they don't feel the need to just take over or get rid of all of us. They seem to be compassionate if they only come here to get what they need and leave.
