Hey Pro, I REALLY appreciate the kudos to the GotPrint customer service. I’m the same way! When I get phenomenally professional customer service, I “promote” too despite if being paid. THEIR kind of customer service is goes a long, long way!!

At one time I had an idea of having my artwork put on umbrellas. Trying to find someone that could do that for a reasonable price was unheard of. I still would like to do that but I still have no idea how to get there. I enjoy your channel very much and I'm glad I checked it out

Such an interesting idea. I love your colored pencil backdrop. I had no idea that peeps still purchased or used postcards for anything. Wow. You always bring the fresh and new ideas!

Thanks Don. I got into the ACEO art after watching one of your Patreon videos. I’m Patricia J. on your Patreon channel. This video is great! This may sound silly but I’m having trouble parting with my original art. Opening account right after posting this. You share so much. Thank you.

Hi...you have to part with your art to unlease it out in the world😀😀😀 so the world may enjoy it. Buy a small scanner and scan your drawings...you get it on your computer and will have it forever...and can use it over again and again! Don't be a closet artist lol!!😕

Wonderful! I have a 2-year degree in lithography / a.k.a. printing. And I worked in the industry for a couple of years during college. That was over 25 years ago, since then I've dabbled in publishing and selling some art with mild success. The timing of this video couldn't be better because I'd like to get back into it and yes the industry has come so very far. I have ideas that I want to put to work and sell. Thank you for the inspirational info!

Thank you for your content Don. I have a couple of questions. What about copyright? And, who buys these postcards at $8 each? Do They frame them? Sorry to sound naive, do you just advertise them as prints of original art? Thank you.
@naturegirl21104 жыл бұрын
These types of cards aren't seen as just cards but as artwork and therefore is worth that price.

Very interesting! On your example at ~1:53, I wish you'd have shown the back. The (awesome) front image is yours, on the back are there the typical postcard features - postage spot, artist credits on bottom, space to write message?

I have been waiting for this video for months. Ever since I saw your anthropomorphic Halloween card. Thank you for the information. Question for you, Do you ever test the market on a piece by printing just a few cards from your local Staples, Office Max, etc?

Don't sell the original drawings...art...or photos. Keep originals. Then put your copyright name with copyright year and symbol on your work.

Don, I just wanted to say that this is a great video and it was helpful too. I have wanted to do this for years, but have never had the courage to try it. Just out of curiosity, how would you go about selling your own artistic photographs - would you turn them into postcards or greeting cards, and then try to sell in a way similar to the way you sold your own artwork? Because my family does a lot of photography and we have some really nice photographs that we have done over the years and some might be able to be sold as artistic works. Thanks in advance, Mark.
@TheArtProfessor4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Photographs are a lot harder to sell, since so many people are doing them. Competition is the issue with those.
@markrossman35744 жыл бұрын
@@TheArtProfessor I'm sure you are correct on that - but I still might give it a try.
