A tip that I just figured out recently: it’s a bit annoying, but if you notice that you’re about to dig into something unknown, don’t be afraid to pause and use the dig order like a sonar. The “empty” space will take the shape of what you can’t dig, like water/magma pools, hallways, etc. Just be sure to clean up after yourself, lest your minions try to dig up the entire mountain!

Every playthrough I see of this game shows a common mistake that all players share: they don't pause the game when it starts XD. They lose time explaining things to the viewers, and time is a resource you can't waste in this franchise XD
