good intro into a compatible non-NetSuite tool (Power BI). I have used Tableau not PowerBI, concepts are similar. An additional advantage to justify the cost of using such tool is the level of scalability it offers, especially when there is a need to bring in non-NetSuite connected datasets into a unified Dashboard.

I am a student currently looking for an accounting job, and many positions require experience with specific accounting software that varies from company to company. However, the courses I took in school primarily focused on the principles of accounting and covered QuickBooks only, without going into every single software. Thank you so much for your guidance; it makes me feel more confident in future interviews.

I have a question about the back end tables. The data the net suite save aren't there tables that we could load with data and not have to import??
@SuperSuiteCris
@SuperSuiteCris 8 күн бұрын
First off, what an honor to get a comment from an American hero such as yourself. Secondly, I'm not quite sure what you mean. What do you mean by "load with data"? Certainly you could manually load any records/data into NetSuite, but the imports are a fast way to bring in lots of data that is outside the system. There is also a Mass Update tool that allows you to rapidly modify a large quantity of records that are already in NetSuite.

Do you want become a functional consultant or a trained administrator, or maybe you want to open up other job possibilities by having some NetSuite experience? No matter what path you're taking, if you have no experience with NetSuite I would start with the NetSuite Fundamentals course. From there you can branch off into specific courses depending on your goal.

It's tough to answer that question, it really depends on the person. If you like working with systems and accounting, then it can be a great career option. In terms of career-proof, it's definitely not as solid as being an electrician but NetSuite has been around for 25+ years and will surely continue to be a major player for at least another 10 years.

I have a question, is "fair value price list" used a lot in industry? If yes, can you have some examples and explain how to use them? To make your videos or classes different from others are not only explain how NetSuite features work but how to use in the real world. Thanks again for all your excellent videos.

Hi Wilson, thanks for the feedback. I try to include more examples in my courses (although no doubt I could do more). The YT videos are like cut-down, condensed versions of pieces of my courses. After all, if I put everything on KZbin, why buy the courses at all? To answer your question, yes "fair value price" is a commonly used term outside of NetSuite.

Is there any way to incorporate 'Tags' with individual customers? I would like to categorize my customers based on specifics, so I can better market to individuals due to the 'Tag' I give them. Ex.) Customer showed interest in a certain product, so I tag them with that product name so I can later send out an email campaign to ONLY the people that showed interest in that product. (I hope that makes sense)
@SuperSuiteCris

Yeah absolutely. There are a few different ways you could do that. You could add a custom field to customer records that allows you to tag them that way (and then use that field as part of the filter for email campaigns), or even create a custom segment for customer types.

My main frustration at the moment is not being able to include a full-year budget column in the same report as, for example, a Q1 report. In other words, if I generate a Q1 report comparing Actual vs. Budget for the first three columns, I would like to add a fourth column that displays the full-year budget as a constant value. Ideally, I would also like to create a fifth column to calculate the remaining spending budget by subtracting the Actual numbers for Q1 (first column) from the Full Year Budget (fourth column).
