I wonder how many BILLIONS the 'Fan Research' cost ? Was Boeing involved ? And now it is ready to quiet the noise of Boeing and the '$hit continually hitting the fan' there !
@douginorlando626055 минут бұрын
Looking at results, the administration’s help in settling the strike resulted in a bad deal for the workers. I’m not surprised.

I'm negotiating a pay raise at the moment. I must confess I never thought about reaching out to the White House. I'm sure that will be a big help.

If you think fan noise isn’t an issue, take a visit to a data centre somewhere. You are either time limited or require hearing protection, or both. Fire alarm systems need to have flashing beacons, because you rarely hear the alarms due to the cooling fans.

I wouldn’t call the satellite another Boeing failure yet. Just like last time, a meteor strike is possible as the cause.

Funny thing: when Boeing workers had pensions, Boeing made lots of good planes.

Fans are necessary, as otherwise a bubble of carbon dioxide, and in the end of carbon monoxide, can build up.
@mudball47Сағат бұрын
I would guess that fan cost 2 billion dollars and 10 years to develop. Congress, we need more money to waste.

Welcome to the review of today's gaslight hour: Satellites explode in orbit for several reasons, and certainly not only the ones made by Boeing. In July of this year, SpaceX lost 20 Starlink satellites before they even made it into orbit, but hey, nothing to see here -; it's not a click bait Boeing fiasco. The union wants what it wants, and Boeing can pay what they can. At the end of the, by the time this is resolved, both sides will be losers. Boeing will lose billions, and the union will lose workers. Boeing will also likely build another facility in a non union state, or move more production to South Carolina. Like I said, everybody loses Now, Starliner. "Rendered its thrusters inoperable". Damn, Maximus. Call me cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, but can you please explain to us unenlightened how the spacecraft made it back to earth with inoperable thrusters? Could it be because only SOME of the thrusters failed? Is that abnormal, especially on a test flight? Mmm... better call and ask the Space Force. Guess how much Elon Musk has gotten from NASA so far? About 12 billion dollars. Yes, with a 'b'. With Elon Musk looking to bribe voters up to a million dollars to elect his homie, he's certainly teed up to receive billions more, you know so he can continue to ensure that their main homie Putin continues to have Internet access for his fresh new North Korean troops, to try and take over Ukraine. And there you have it, in the words of the late great Paul Harvey, the rest of the story.

Boing is going under with yet another failure. Was the satellite engineered and built by Boeing union members?

I never knew fan noise was a problem in space but recently I looked into quieter vacuum cleaners. We would have quieter vacuum cleaners but people think that loudness equals suction, and so quieter vacuum cleaners don't sell. Or is this the company line?

The 40% pay increase only returns the workers to the pay rate they had in 2020. The inflation caused by the Biden administration consumed 10% of our, mine and your's, substance at 10% per year for four years.

Funny, I had a feeling last night when recording my video on another Dark week for Boeing, that I should wait with the upload as a 4th problem may surface. But I was like meh, it'll be Friday and what else could happen now that's worth reporting? Well, you just found it 🙂 Like your decor!

it will take a few years till companies learn not to ask Boeing to make something for them. - and current contracts get to delivery (Boeing delivery is better known as "pre-anomaly" state.)

Perhaps the door blew off the satellite which was the foundation for the anomalous RUD
@jantjarks7946Сағат бұрын
The door (Disassembly Operations Organization Rack) blew off as the Master Control Assembly System (MCAS) threatened to dive the satellite into the Pacific.

A long, long time ago the unions and Boeing agreed to a long term deal which was not good for the workers. The workers now want to restore a lot of what was lost. Add in inflation. Makes sense easily.

With the average pay for the striking machinists at 115k from what I read, I think they should be more willing to bargain and understand that they can't get 100% of what they are asking. Especially in the state the company has been in the last few years. That current pay is alot more than most other union jobs. It seems Boeing is willing to drive the ship into the ground. Boeing would survive but they will lay off workers and shift more jobs over seas to balance the books. No one gets pensions anymore unfortunately.
@tomstravels520Сағат бұрын
Where did you get 115K from? The average shop floor worker is about 70K, starting at 45K.
@antonyh37Сағат бұрын
@@tomstravels520 saw it on a news report. Can't remember exactly where. It was speaking in general. Not by individual work groups.

As one of the millions of Americans on Social Security who is being told we will have to get by on a 2.x% increase in the face of 20% inflationary rises in food and housing costs, I have absolutely no sympathy for these greedy machinists, many of whom are already making high or even double six figures. This is especially true since I am in dire circumstances myself because my union (ITF/NSU) refused to enforce the disability and healthcare terms of my contract following an at work injury that left me permanently unable to work in my profession. Unions are glad to take your money, but not so good at actually protecting you or even making a serious effort.
