Multiple presses of the same button, in a specific context. Ive always considered, as giving the dimensions/ the magnitude of the first press. So five quick presses of mad, means ' im really effing angry/sad etc' Edit: press, of, button: spelling corrected

Wow 🤯. And wait, was that *meaningful* reiteration ? Like, she’s saying not just one car but many cars? The way some households use “later later morning” to mean two days from now?! (Or at least the humans use it that way…I don’t think I’ve seen a leaner use reiteration of later that way.) Of course lots of learners spam “Mad” and “Treat” but this seems different?

I can't quite make out from the video to what extent they may be using sight as well as scent when sniffing those buttons. It seems to me like she's both sniffing and looking, even as, some of the time, she blocks her own line of vision by sniffing. Any idea?

It’s verrrrrry interesting to see the wheels spinning while Parker sniffs Bastian’s travel board! She’s got her own Outside so it seems like she’s using his buttons just for the challenge, or to test a hypothesis.

Smell may actually play a part in it. I also watch The Chronicles of Todd, and Todd does smell the buttons at times. This whole talking buttons thing is beyond just fascinating. 😊
@spacechicken52724 күн бұрын
My current dog is a little old to have any desire to communicate by human means, but I know my next animal will be given buttons. I plan on starting to scent the buttons individually with <pet safe> essential oils and plant odors. That way, if dog or cat ever loses their eyesight, hopefully they won't lose their communication as much.

I wonder what could cause the buttons to smell distinctly different from one another. Do you have any ideas?
@puppyparkerposey24 күн бұрын
It could be through their paw pads. They have scent glands there so they could be causing certain buttons to smell more strongly than others for example!
@rdklkje1324 күн бұрын
@@puppyparkerposey As in a more frequently used button, or on purpose somehow? I was wondering if the different tile dyes might smell slightly differently to (some) dogs.

Maybe "snuffle mat" and "device" meant she smelled/heard something and she wanted to "look"?
@seelogic9845Ай бұрын
After "look go go potty", I thought parker meant "ok can I do potty out the front yard on a hike then here at home?" , "ok can I do potty out the back yard on a walk?" And then to me "water, water, quickly" meant she had to pee? Oh dear I hope she didn't have to hold it in all night! Or she might just have been wanting an activity and was choosing from a range of activities hoping you'd say yes to something. That would explain "snuffle mat". Oh it must be hard to understand what they're saying sometimes, and other times it's just so clear!
