thank you!! and I used Neural DSP's Archetype Petrucci for all my guitar tones in this song! It's all custom settings (and I used an Orange 4x12 cab IR blended in with the Petrucci IR), so I can't really... explain it but it's basically an overdriven lead tone and a crunchy clean for the rhythm.

This cover just didn't click with me at first, but then I slowed it down to 0.85 speed. This is cover makes an AMAZING rock/ballad version. I'm not sure what it is about the regular version... maybe the singing part just sounds very clipped? Because the instrumentals are OK. But seriously, try listening to it at ~0.9 or so speed!

wow, just a few days ago I was wondering if anyone would release another cover of this amazing song! this sounds incredible and I love the lyrics. I’m so used to amalee’s version but your take on the song also does such a great job of capturing the essence of the original. I feel like that has a lot to do with word choice, which adds so much grandeur to this cover. I especially like the second chorus, rhyming “reverie”, “bravery” and “set you free” flowed so well! I also love what you did with the flower metaphor. I imagine it’s hard to translate those lines and I’ve never really found a cover that makes them sound natural in english. but “broken flowers” as a general term for all magical girls - alongside homura’s hope that she can make them “bloom” if she tends to them well enough - later transforming into the flower that became “her everything” (implied to be both madoka and the embodiment of hope simultaneously) feels like such a natural progression for that metaphor. it’s very cool to see! oops, I ended up ranting but I hope you know I thoroughly enjoyed this cover :”)) congratulations to you and your team for making it real! <3
