I'M FINALLY IN THE K-POP GIRL GROUP OF MY DREAMS ✨
This cover was a blast-and-a-half to produce for; I'm not super into K-pop but I definitely enjoy some of the music and GG was the first K-pop group I ever actually researched and listened to for more than just a random music video. Back in 2019 I was randomly listening to some old GG tracks for fun and I found this song, which I hadn't heard before--and WHAT. A. BANGER. I immediately grabbed my guitar and jammed out pretty much this entire arrangement at like 2 AM just for fun; never planning to do anything with it. Buuuut flash-forward to 2020 and I realized 1, this arrange ROCKS, and 2, I know some incredibly talented singers who would be more than killer on this track. I finished up all the production work for the instrumental and asked everyone to be on the track and they all agreed! This crew is a DREAM TEAM man, what killer talent on display here, cannot believe how good all the vox are!! I put my all into the mix on this track and HOLY HECK IT WAS SO HARD (K-pop mixers are insaneeeeee) but I truly believe I've done the best mix I've ever done and at least gotten close to that K-pop quality. I'm also really happy with how the video turned out; I had a ton of fun filming for this one and rockin' a very different look than normal and seeing everyone's different styles together is such a treat! I hope you all enjoy this track and watching us having a blast performing it!
