This was a good fight that showcase what to do next moving from both combatant. While this is more about Kyshawn, the other guy was throwing a lot of body strikes which weren't bad to begin with, but wasn't setting it up. This goes along with the haymakers and such, much of those Kyshawn saw and is either why he block some or evaded some. But, if there's one thing I hope Kyshawn works on more is keeping that right hand up. He got tag quite a few times with those hooks and its because his right hand isn't properly protecting the bank. If he can start working on that than he'll develop more opportunity's to come back with something strong since he has power, and its only gonna get stronger the more he trains. Besides the point, only just came across this youtube page and surprise to see as I thought, he has level experience that is moving beyond self teaching. I hope he keeps up the work moving forward.

I'm a 3 month self-taught boxer, KZbin has been my best friend, but there is still a bit more I have to learn. A wake-up call that set me out is when I got into a spar with a friend who didn't know anything, I still was learning but didn't try nor had the thought to beat him down, it was for like 20 seconds before our bell rung and the 20 seconds told me that I don't think at all while mid fight, its not like me throwing wild punches its just that I dont think or I tense up as if in not use to it (which I'm not) my questions is whenever I get into an actual spar what would any over you advice me to do to prevent thinking with my hands instead of my body...?

idk much ab boxing but i do know that for any field, when you self teach yourself you tend to think way differently than people who were taught by someone who knows and this could be your advantage!

I know it’s sparring but the only thing I noticed the self taught were all taller and never used their height and longer limbs to outbox a bit that’s why they took so many unnecessary damage or blows because they tried to infight a smaller infighter but they held up great otherwise RIP Kyshawn’s ribs

Love this spar, it’s great that you’re being a role model to your sparring opponent especially when he’s untrained. I also like how you and him are learning each round, this is what boxing should be, respectful sport to see which opponent is the better boxer.

The trained fighter always wins self taught is cool but you don’t reap the real benefits of boxing until you’ve been trained by a real coach and spar consistently at a gym full of people pushing you but good work

Wtf, these “self taught” boxers need to get in a damn gym lol or watch some boxing fundamental videos, I read the comments first and saw people complimenting them but every single one of them have absolutely horrible technique, all they did was develop bad habits, none of them even know how to jab, even the dude in white every time he throws the jab he leaves himself wide open and the hand drops back down afterwards, after the first “boxer” I kept fast forwarding to the next one to see if anyone can throw a proper jab and neither of them can.. there’s amateur boxers at my gym who’ve been training less then a year who would smoke every one of them except the professional boxers of course.. please everyone if you’re going to “self teach” yourself, please for the love of God start from the utmost basic fundamentals of boxing and work your way up, if you go to any boxing fundamental videos made by former world champions, former Olympic boxers, every single one of them do not teach what you are seeing here which makes me ask, where are these “self taught” boxers learning from ? Are the legitimately self taught without even watching videos online ? Because if so then that’s absolutely insane 😅 former world champion and former Olympic medalist Tony Jeffries has many great videos, he has one hour long video that covers most of the fundamentals, I recommend him.

The pro is very interesting. Horrible matchup for me personally. Imma big guy. I’m about 206 pounds at 6’3. And I utilize a cross and long guard. Think of George’s foreman’s defensive ideas. Well yeah body snatchers that do that shit. Especially short ones are really annoying. Usually I just bully them but that guys so fast.
