Would you trust these in a 30cc size Slick? Did you have any jitter issues?
@skyboundrc8 күн бұрын
No jitter issues in my experience. 30cc for XA would be a bit short on torque I think... For basic aerobatics with shorter throws it would be ok. Also, keep in mind those airframes usually use standard size servos, while the 5301H is a smaller size.

RC planes roll easier to the left... so left rollers will require less throttle "encouragement" to roll at a more constant roll rate... Great Videos!! Juan!! Thanks!
@mithrandir131317 күн бұрын
Additionally... as the roll rates are increased, the need to "Anticipate" the input increases... there is a latency between the input on the sticks and the servo moving ..... it is very small with good fast servos... but it isn't zero.... Also: Same inputs as Harrier rolls... so learn Harrier rolls... and then reduce aircraft body angle and increase speed....

Hey there, it was cool meeting you at Nall this year outside Harry's tent! These videos are impressively high quality and must take a lot of time to put together. What software do you use to edit? At about 1 minute and 20 seconds in, it looks like you are flying the old Hangar 9 Extra 260! I'm curious to know how something like that compares to one of today's 3D aircraft from Flex or Pilot...any of the major builders. Does it have similar capabilities, and are there specific limitations? Thanks!
@skyboundrc8 күн бұрын
hi! It was nice meeting you too! I've been using Davinci Resolve for editing. The Hangar 9 Extra was awesome. The most aggressive plane I had flown at that time (around 2009). Today's airplanes are significantly faster at max roll rate and rifle rolls, and their tail is much more aggressive on crankshafts or knife edge spins. Today's airplanes are also significantly stronger (I remember bending the bending the aluminum wingtube). I'm not sure that kind of plane would survive the crazy slaps or full throttle knife edge spins we do these days :-)

I started with turbines because that is what my father flies. He put me on a simulator and then buddy boxed with me when I was 14 years old. I do like flying EDF and propeller planes more because it's less stressful and much more relaxing to fly. With the Turbines you are always on edge because of the dollar sign in the back of your mind. 😂

I got this FRSKY 20S and I wanted to program this thing so I could fly my RC model here in my ranch. not to fly a SpaceX or NASA rocket into orbit. Cause im not a rocket scientist… I’m gonna return this transmitter tomorrow. This is just a bad nightmare. Couldn’t even find those menus. Very frustrating to try to switch to this radio brand. What’s the best brand ? The old one JR that works wonders. Not going thru this.

Yes now if you use a hat cam to film your videos you are homeless mumbling freak. Numerous other hobbies use hat cams, chest cams, etc but they don't insult each other over it. I don't mind obscure channels that film RC planes even though it's usually not the best quality. Personally I have little use for channels like TwoBros and prefer the more humble channels, even those with crappy hat cam footage (I don't have to watch the whole thing). It's nice to see grass roots folks simply sharing their passion who aren't trying to sell anything or tell people what to do. Seeing different flying locations is nice too. If they have very few subscribers that's fine with me.

@@TwoBrosRC Your comment is non-sequitur. Avoiding your channel is not a search for "hate". My comment contained no "hate" or insults, I simply commented about your obvious hate and video recorded comments about RC hobbyists who use hat cams. I also don't need to tell people of my imposing stature in order to sound like Mister tough guy. No other RC channel is as negative or hateful as yours and I've seen them all.

Great interview! Many interesting topics were brought up here. I've watched many of Jon's videos, so it was good to hear about the work and motivation that goes into it. Personally, I don't want the responsibility to continue producing content on a regular basis, so I don't encourage my viewers to click Like or Subscribe. YT is just a repository for videos I like to make. But I can appreciate the work that goes into a successful channel like yours. Thanks for addressing anxiety and the fear of flying, for both full scale and model aviation. After nine years of competing in precision aerobatics I still get nervous when I step up to the flight line in front of the judges, or start flying a new sequence. But it always gets better with repetition. Facing those fears directly really helps. Keep up the good work, both of you!

Fear is the biggest killer of progress. I learned how to fly 3D in under a year, learned rolling harriers in a few weeks, and other complex maneuvers in less time. How did I progress fast? I took magic mushrooms, it eliminated my fear response and rewired my reflexes ten times to where I can see the maneuvers and coordinate well with the sticks naturally without overthinking the whole flight at the age of 40. I dont get the "I'm nervous everytime I fly" feeling.
@danielmatthews7666Ай бұрын

@monchichis333Ай бұрын
@@danielmatthews7666 Not lying my dude, there's a few of us at our field that micro dose mushrooms. We are some of the best flyers at our field. Some of our best drone flyers are also micro dosers. I can send you the link to my page so you can see how I fly micro-dosed in under a year of RC flying from trainer to 3D. It cancels out the fear response and it makes you rethink the way you fly. There's people that fly the same pattern for more than 10 years and couldnt re-wire or break old habits to progress in their flying cause of heavy fear response.
Always look forward to your videos and especially your interviews!

What kind of expo do you run on the rudder? On the sim I tend to get an unwanted turn in rolling harriers. I think maybe the expo is too low on the rudder causing more rudder than I mean too.

Usually about 55-65% expo in rudder. In my experience, unwanted turns in rolling harriers are usually due to improper timing (adding rudder too early or neutralizing too late)
