Try Spectrum soft green or Amaco celadon Jade. If Jade is too dark you can dilute it with celadon snow. Good luck!

Wow!!! What a fantastic kiln unload. The mug with the engobes was magnificent, so many nice glaze combinations. I've done my first break in kiln firing. So next I will do a a glaze firing. I'm trying to decide what firing schedule to use. A straight cone firing program or a ramp hold firing schedule. I think it's about the same size as yours 51 litres if I remember correctly. I hear you've had surgery via another youtube channel. I hope it all went well. Our health and happiness, family and friends are so important. We need more love ❤ in our world atm. The 3rd last small cup was really beautiful, I thought it was good. Happy potting Auf wiedersehen Your video made me smile, ie testing your to go mugs ha ha. Keep it real. 😊😊

But I am happy how everything turned out at the end. Which you lots of luck with your glaze firing. This is the most exciting part of the whole process . Much love Suza 🥰

Hi! Love your mugs! Regarding your kiln temperature, before you lower from 1200, try to change the height of the different kiln shelves. On my kiln I’ve noticed that if I have only one row or two rows of kiln elements between around one shelve & like three-four rows on another shelve, there will be more heat where are more rows of kiln elements. I don’t know I you understand what mean. Also it tends to be hotter on the top shelve. Just a thought to try out.

You might want to check your kiln elements. It looks like that bottom shelf isn't working right. Great results!
@susanroswandowicz17 күн бұрын
I will do that as soon as I’m out of the hospital. How do I see, that something isn’t right? Thanks for your help ❤️
@threelittlepotters16 күн бұрын
@@susanroswandowicz So what you were seeing with the cones is sort of the classic warning sign. If your bottom element wasn't working properly the top element would be compensating. So your top shelf would be hotter as it tries to warm the bottom shelf area. You can turn on your kiln for a little while, and then turn it off completely and see if the bottom element feels cooler to the touch. Don't touch any elements while the kiln is running. If it feels cooler, you might want to get a professional to look at it. You can replace kiln elements yourself, but it does require some knowledge of crimping wires etc. I fire my kiln enough that I need to change my elements yearly. You can also get burnt out relays and whatnot in the control box. So consult a professional, never touch anything while the kiln is running. Hope that helps!

I have been teaching myself for 3 years. I have been trying to teach myself how to throw pottery on the wheel. Hard. I regularly fire to cone six to a hot cone six. So, I have chosen clays and glazes that respond the best to a cone six. I think once you discover your ideal temperature for your clay and glazes. Please keep us posted on how you are doing: even if its just a short. Sending you hugs from far away. Chris Sanders
