BTS has a huge discography with very few romantic love or breakup songs. Love songs generally express their love for their fans, Army. Lyrics are hugely important and so often poetic even in translation. Their songs have depth and many need a bit of explanation due to cultural, societal, and language differences, since they don't write from a Western viewpoint.

His voice floats beautifully into your heart! When he sings with that breathyness theres a stunning soothing quality to it! We know he can sing in many different ways. But here what he was going for really resonates. You truly feel the emotion and he was so young here.

It is about their fear of losing their passion for music, whether through exhaustion or other means etc. Everything in BTS music has meaning, with the exception of a couple, so this includes not only the lyrics, but the MVs, costumes, and many symbols in the MVs. Lyrics are really important in BTS songs, so if this is not what you tend to focus on, without knowing them you maybe won't get the full brilliance of the music. However, there are ways that some reactors deal with this who are similar to you and prefer to focus on the music and dancing. Some play the MV twice, the first time to focus on the musical and visual elements, the second to read through the lyrics. Others just have the lyrics with them or read through first, so they have an idea of what the song is about and can then focus on visual and music. Rather than be confused its always good to do some research first otherwise if you say something a bit disrespectful ARMY let you know. Theres also a separate mv for Jimin who is the only member who is a classically trained dancer and was top student, he is Black Swan to many army hes so amazing to watch. Very professional and takes himself to exhaustion to make it perfect

Jhope: he is a rapper but Blue side ITS INCREDIBLE, From his latest album my fav are lock/unlock and I don't know with yunjin from leeserafim great songs Rm: comeback to me its so good and he mostly sings on this. Its one of taehyung's fav songs too. Wildflower its a masterpiece, an intense ballad. Suga/Agust D: So far away its a long song but it's so worth it, I also like People and People pt2. hey bts music is typically deeper the most upbeat bright songs/videos can have the deepest of meanings sometimes they break every music rule they dont fit in any box. id say regardless if you plan to dive deep into lyrics or not please react to bts guide (for haters, skeptics and non pop fans) by boracity magazine its about 20 minutes. we WILL watch the entire reaction with no cuts. you can even make long bts reactions in general like watch once with lyrics off to catch the visuals and how the song sounds, again for the lyrics and even adding dance practices, behind the scenes of filming/interviews about the song or album its on even explained videos because there are quite a few that even super fans cant understand if they dont know korean language, culture, history, expressions etc so some lovely channels break down those aspects. we are not typical pop or boyband fans not even typical kpop fans. we care about the art every aspect of it especially lyrics because bts write 95% of their own music. they only out source writers when they dont want to write a song or when they genuinely love the english lyrics better. example their pop hit dynamite they wanted a song upbeat to cheer people up during the pandemic they tried to write korean lyrics to the production but they all loved the english lyrics and how it flowed so they didnt change it. they have the creative freedom, love for music, respect for each other and love for fans to make the music themselves, allow themselves to try new things regardless of results if it flops or not etc allow each other to have full solo careers WHILE being in the group, and even accept help or collabs with artists/writers/producers around the world. but at the end of the day its what these 7 men want not what any executives want nor what fans want. theyre so honest that the core fans are able to trust their process and theyre able to hold autonomy not only business-wise but putting boundaries up where true fans do not cross and accept the boundary is there. theyre very unique and in turn created a very unique following. please react to that short guide and if you want to do longer ones you can. you dont have to get everything right and you wont if you dont know the history or culture or random stuff theyve been through or studied. example they all read the book map of the soul on jungian psychology most of us havent until we decided we wanted to know what their two albums map of the soul persona and map of the soul 7 meant. those who read it in college posted about it and those who cared also read into everything and those who didnt care just enjoyed the music surface level. the issue most of us have is people assuming all songs are love songs about man & woman relationships and thats it cause thats what "boybands do" bts DO have many love songs some where its men and women others where its more vague and inclusive and others where its a love song but not romantic like about friendships, family, fans etc theres some songs that look like love songs and theres some songs that are simply love songs and its just a matter of us telling you when it is or isnt until you can tell on your own if you want to be able to tell the difference. example their song let me know is 100% a love song but their song spring day is 100% NOT a love song in romantic nature its a song about losing loved ones mainly friends/family but also goes very deep into a political situation that left korea mourning the lives of 100s of teens who passed away on a school trip due to government negligence. and most non korean fans didnt know until korean fans told us so we wouldnt expect a new person to know either but we do expect someone to accept correction and dive deeper if they want. anyways ill end this here sorry for such a long comment. hope you enjoy your bts journey :)

How strange as the dance and the lyric's and the whole thing doesn't give off 'Bad Boy' but their desperation and then detrimantion to keep going and not lose their love of their art.

The Shadow is part of Jungian pyschology along with Ego and Persona they examine those pyschological theories in the context of their own lives as individuals and as a group. Hence the Map of the Soul 2 album where the explore 'Shadow', 'Persona' and 'Ego'. and their other 3 Love yourself Albums.

Black Swan is based in the famous quote of the Dancer Martha Graham 'A dancer dies twice, once when the stop dancing this is the most painful death' and also BTS are talking about their real fear the fear of losing their passion for their art eg for song writing, composing, producing rapping, singing, dancing etc They nearly did lose that passion due to all the work, stress and the hateful reactions they were receiving. They nearly disbanded due to it all.

Many Tae fans were heartbroken when Tae binned this song 😢. We live in hope that he will one day release this song. 😭

The song is about their fear of losing their passion for their art. Lyrics are pretty important in most BTS songs. As for the dancing, there are dance practices for many of their songs on BANGTANTV channel. You can see all the dance moves better in their dance practices, which are usually for their live shows rather than their MVs. You might like MicDrop (Steve Aoki remix), but the lyrics are also important there. Black Swan was my intro to BTS, and I fell in love with the artistry, the dancing, the meaning of the song, etc. It wasn't long after I became a full-fledged fan (called ARMY). Never looked back.
