To be fair, if we're considering the japanese pronunciations for the mispronunciation counter, then Phil is pronouncing just about every character's name wrong, such as TIen and Krillin who are actually named Tenshinhan and Kuririn respectively. Additionally, he's still pronouncing Yamcha's name wrong, because he's pronounching the U like Uh instead of OO.

He does have a point about the game potentially messing you up for nongood reason by not telling you in any way that fighting with style gives you more currency, I'm not sure if i realized this eventually whole playing or just didn't know until this video. Just a little note saying that doing big and fancy comboes gives you more red orb is all they'd need to do. I also agree with him on the Life system, it's just redundant and time-wasting if you're having troible with a specific part and not everything before said part. He's still a big idiot about everything else, how the fuck you look at DMC abd think that shooting is the main way to kill enemies is beyond me, and not piecing together that he's not able to do certain content without upgrades like double jump is on him, aside from the Style mechanic, DMC is very intuitive and simple to understand what you gotta do.

I will defend Phil on the Waterway miniboss. The arena you fight it in is WAY too small and it can pass through walls. One commenter said to dodge the scissors when he sees them coming, but the arena is so claustrophobic, by the time he sees them, he's taking damage. It's a blemish on an otherwise pretty first installment.

Y'know, it makes it more sense on why Vergil is calling Dante "scum", asking where his motivation and telling him that he isn't a worthy of an opponent really shows a lot that Vergil is just insulting DSP

Vergil 3 is probably the greatest final boss of all time imo, and Phil bitching and moaning about a hard fight being hard and completely missing all the meaning and emotional weight behind the fight fucking infuriates me. I'm not gonna pretend DMC 3 is some Shakespeare level art, but its frustrating how Phil can't appreciate the writing or buildup that went into the fight (and the game as a whole) without making shitty jokes or whining about sucking at the game
