You know, you would think a professional gamer would be more savvy about situations both in the game and with consoles, as well as admitting when they make a mistake while also being respectable and at least somewhat polite and likable. Phil does none of the above (In fact, he mostly does the opposite; and he sometimes says he doesn't like playing some of the games he plays and still keeps going!) and STILL has fans and gets paid to do this on a daily basis. This is literally a mystery of life within itself.

About the "slowdown" - Given the game is a PSX game, it's due to the emulated "loading" of something.......in this case it's the death animation.....i.e Phil was already dead as the animation for his fuck up was being loaded.

it's been a while, but i'd like to spend only a few ords in phil's defence: the very beginning o re2 is actually pretty tought and "in your face" regarding the mechanics. it is, symbolically, just like sens fortress. so i don't feel like blaming only him for his lack of skills at the beginning of the game, it's something that he needs to get used to. for all the rest... well, the video speaks for himself xD

To be fair on him there are conventions of the game that aren't immediately obvious and some of the things he did (and in other games he plays for the first time) are things I did my first time playing too. Like the helicopter wreckage only being destructible with two specific items when you have an arguably more powerful explosive on hand, something that's been lampooned more than once. I also didn't know about the dual disc setting for PS1 games on PSN (I originally played it on the N64 where that wasn't a problem) so it's a little unfair to put that in the video like it makes him look stupid. But the annoyance, the legitimately stupid decisions and leaving the footage running for technical difficulties is definitely cringe-worthy.

Alright now if he can't bait the zombies or at least bear minimum figure out to get past them and wastes the grenade launcher on them in the PD station then I am kind of worried about him. I mean yeah for a first time playing RE it can be tedious and hard to get used to but to say that RE 2 is hard? That is a bit of an overstatement it's easy and compared to RE1 I'd rather have this item management system where the item box is relatively near by the whole time than traversing a good distance to get to it (if you never played it that's how it feels anyway) THAT and this game doesn't really take much to play just a level head and for some good vision because evidently that book case puzzle "makes no sense" 😕 why does he have to shit on my childhood man just why
