I'm always happy when I see a new episode of "Fishing with Ladin" is posted. You three do a great job. I appreciate how excited you each get when you hook a fish. Thanks!

yep, one of the worst fisheries in all of MT for easily the last 3 yrs. maybe nobody bothered to tell Ladin. severe drought and plummeting fish pops. state of MT finally ack'ed in 2024 they might, just might, need to investigate the phenomenon. i'll fish elsewhere..........

That sedimentary rock is part of the Belt supergroup/Aldridge Formation. It used to be the bed of the ocean (marine turbidite). It is some of the oldest rock on the planet.

How high up the river are you?

Been enjoying watching your fishing show. I live in the North Idaho area. Can you give me a general area where I can go in to fish. I have some disability in walking. Easy walking would be great. Thanks

I honestly don't know any on the Elk but I think there is a river somewhere around Fernie that is regulated for seniors. You might call the local fly shops and ask about it.
@DJBackfire14 күн бұрын
I'm like 95% certain, you were fishing in the same spots where I grew up and learned how to fly fish. That was a wonderful flashback to watch.

Really NICE to see you guys catching whilst the winter months pass. While I'm happy to call the CdA River home (and the Joe a second), I do need to make a point to get back up a couple of hours north and fish B.C more often. Have done the Elk but not the Wigwam or other tributaries. Didn't see you throwing any big stuff (e.g. circus peanut, chubby C, etc.) this time; I guess terrestrials were what the fish were keyed in on that day... ☮ from North Idaho.

Rising like crazy. Can't help but catching fish on dries. Doesn't happen everyday, but these are the days that keep us all addicted and the obsession alive and well. Cutts are my favorite! Thanks for your work guys!

Great fishing! After seeing you guys on the Dogfish boats, I'm heading to Bellingham as soon as it warms up. How do you guys move the boats from your truck to the water? Is there a dolly?

They do make a wheel system but we have just dragged them along on the skid boards on the back bottom of the boat

Another fun Ladin video. How are you liking the Dryft waders? I see another regional YTer endorsing them, but was a little turned off by them not having the "keep my hands warm" tunnel pocket on the chest. ☮ from North Idaho.

Great video. Just curious did you guys ever try stripping streamers in a sink tip, full sink or intermediate line? Any luck?
@FlyFishingwithLadinАй бұрын
We did bot trolling with streamers on full sink and stripping with intermediate. We did not do well will any methods using streamers but may have been just what we used and time of year and we had such success with Chironomids that it was hard to use streamers much.
