Not really, more of a bug with the game rather than the hardware.

@@ryanstechandhardware are you sure? I also wasn't able to replicate it after restarting the game. Does your ps5 still work? I ask this because mine also has a very noticeable coil whine and I thought there might be an issue with the gpu

@@gigifinizio8550 I was able to replicate the glitch after I recorded this video, its likely a ray tracing bug thats all. I can confirm my PS5 is perfect and have never had any issues with it. Sounds like a fan issue with your PS5, some models have different branded fans inside, some of which cause a 'coil whine' noise. Nothing to worry about.

@@ryanstechandhardware ok thanks. I know about the fan issue but I'm 100% sure mine is coil whine since I can hear the pitch changing when I move the camera around in games. For example in open areas with lots of details it gets worse... It is really annoying

@@gigifinizio8550 Yes your fans are working harder as the GPU processes more on screen, so it is cooling the PS5 down , so its the fan that is making the noise. Would recommend maybe checking to see if your cooling fan is clean and clear of any dust or debris.

Was the stock AMD cooler tested with the MX-4 thermal paste or was it the stock thermal paste from the box?

i wonder if you installed double fan in the cpu cooler, i have exactly the same but i’m afraid the fan on the left side(not in the ram side) will touch the mobo heatsink (the one with the text tomahawk max) ps. i have the same mobo and the same cpu cooler but with double fan (i ask this because i haven’t installed it yet)

What was your amb room temperature cuz i have ryzen 5 2600 with hyper 212 led turbo and my max temperature in this game is 60 degrees with amp room temperature about 33 degrees

Dude first enable PBO and auto OC or even better manually oveclock that CPU .Running at 4ghz or less is joke. That CPU can go easly 4,2 or higher all cores.

As long time welder, pc enthusiast.. personally.. I spread, not just expect a pea blob to spread to every mm of die surface. I'll still use close to same amount.. anyone who's done any manufacturing engineering automotive ect will know the outcome of peablobs missing corners is not proper for sealing out air, transfer... like it has 1 job. Cover the die.

maybe i mounted my evo wrong because i get 50c idle on 3700x the black edition which is basically the same cooler but without the RGB and I mean yeah its going to be hotter than the 3600 but it shoudlnt be this much hotter. Edit: also my board loves to overclock on me without my permission MPG gaming edge wifi performs amazingly well for my use, but beware it will automatically overclock and pump up voltage im hitting 1.5 volts without touching anything thats how crazy this board is with 3700x and i think I see why the VRMs are so bad on 3900x when it does this shit lol.

Strange, I would suggest maybe remounting with some fresh thermal paste then running a CINEBENCH or AIDA64 benchmark, set your fan curves at a higher RPM in BIOS also, then check temps. Also in BIOS under OC menu, check to see if PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) is enabled, this board is known to OC CPUs automatically. Hope this helps, be sure to subscribe.

So i was right about the auto overclock thing. I set precision overboost to off before and nothing honestly changes. I already ordered the be quiet dark rock cuz im scared of that 1.5v even if i may of mounted the cooler wrong I still ordered an upgrade to be safe.

Is it important to upgrade from stock if you just play games? Is there any solid evidence that a CPU cooler extends the life of a CPU? It seems like you're below throttling with the stock cooler. I'm a gamer on a budget, will using the stock cooler negatively impact my gameplay? The temperature differences here are impressive, I'm just wondering if there is any real benefit unless you use CPU demanding applications.

I would say in the long run, upgrading from stock to aftermarket cooler is essential for all gaming rigs. Cooler the CPU, the better the performance. If your on a budget, maybe crank up stock cooler RPM in BIOS if you can handle the noise. I would say overall an aftermarket cooler is definitely worth it and performance overall is a lot better all around. Thanks for watching, sub for more.

Not really, its essential to have a better aftermarket cooler than the stock cooler. Difference is big in temps.

@Ryan Hello Ryan want to ask you something.I have almost same specs as you but seen also in you're former videos that 7 months ago you had almost 180 frames in the game. So did I. Now I struggle to get above 130 frames. Like a 50 frames drop in 7 months. Can you check?

Yeah I have also noticed this as well. With v-sync disabled I get around 120-150fps depending on the complexity of the scene. I can only imagine this is down to the game being more polished and stable. Wasnt a very stable game at launch on PC and suffered from a lot of frame rate issues IE....stutter/jitter. @@ryanstechandhardware I think the stutters where driver issues from AMD. Had nothing to do with the game. But a 50 frame drop i still think it's pretty insane. Only in the last update I have about 30 frames lost. But this week I'm getting a 2070 to test frames. Just want to see if it's AMD or the game. Because bf5, bf1, coldwar im way over 180+
