I will say this though, Baki as a series has little to no consistency when it comes to how current boxing ranks among other martial arts. First it's a sport that shouldn't be considered 'combat' because of its restrictive rule set. Hanayama explodes a boxer's arm with grip strength alone. Then, a boxer doesn't get murdered in the underground arena, so not so bad. Had no chance of winning it all though. Then, Ali Jr starts dropping masters left and right with his own style of boxing. But then get's beat down by all of them, and undeniably loses to Baki in the underground. Then Retsu starts actually struggling against elite boxers in his publicity matches.
