And wielding the Dragonslayer is not only a question of pure strength (though it contributes to a large extent), but also the stamina, determination and DRIVE to keep going, to hold on, to be truely relentless. Pippin was always a boulder. A point of rest and great fortitude and strength. But hard to rouse into any displays of immense emotion.

The saddest part for me is not only did these guys got ripped to shreds by demons, their souls are not at peace since they were taken to the abyss. These guys don't deserve this and it's kinda sad that they won't get avenged now.

Pippin's that one guy who helps you get home on a stormy night after one too many beers with the lads. Love the work put into talking about this silent but gentle giant. Didn't know about Kentaro putting himself into Pippin, fascinating fact. Dude did his best and even in silence, provided much more than his weight to carry and eventually sacrifice. The guy almost dwarfed Guts, he was always there a solid wall of a man. His silnce wasent due to a deficit of intelligence but because a abundance of it. Like all other members loyal almost to a fault. Ive had some friends that were rather large guys extremely soft spoken and disciplined, having to learn gentleness on a level most people would ever achive.

5:45 this is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series hands down. Pippin refusing to give up on guts, forcing him to let go and enjoy himself, To embrace the people who care about him so deeply. It hits so hard because I find it hard to not distance myself from others as a defense mechanism but there is something so comforting about knowing someone refuses to give up on you even if it hurts then. Pippin is easily my favorite side character.

I like to think that vision of Griffith's with him being married to Casca and retired is want would have happened if he'd declined the God Hand's offer. Sure he'd probably barely be able to get around but surrounded with friends and family. Perhaps the reformed band could have found him the best doctors and magic healers they could possibly find to get him back, as feasibly possibly, to himself before his torture at the tower. That would be the biggest sting to Griffith/Femto when he's inevitably defeated by Guts. Somehow it being revealed that this vision was indeed a possible future, as well as Guts revealing the true reason he left the Hawks that fateful day. . .

Pippin is a great character to insert into the story for guts. Let me explain after Guts losses his beloved friend and almost father figure Donovan guts is lost in the world going from battle field to battle field looking for purpose after loosing the fight with Griffith guts is in the hawks and does his first mission with them but he doesn't feel like he fits in until a giant man 🤔🧐🤨 who is about as big as Donovan shows up and picks guts up 😢 just like Donovan used to and hands Guts and unknown drink that's when guts gets his dearest friend Donovan back in the form of Pippin however during the eclipse Pippin dies above guts making Pippin a top this is in contrast to how Donovan died a bottom 😢 after this Guts is no longer able to feel free in the world as he's always thinking of his beloved Donovan for example the very first time we see guts he's piping down a demon..... A black demon 🤔 Donovan was black Pippin was Black ish after Guts killed the demon because it wasn't Donovan he went looking for Griffith because Griffith was black like Donovan 😢 it's all come full circle
