Botham, Flintoff, Stokes in the same team would have been something.

Fred Trueman bowling big outswingers with no 3rd Man?? even schoolboys know thats essential - no surprise he went for 12 off first 3 balls

Some extremely dubious umpiring on show which just confirms what has been said by many who toured NZ during this time that the umpires weren't incompetent, they were just cheats. You can't condone some of the behaviour by the WI but you can certainly understand their frustration when you're playing against 13.

Dafuq you on about? If you’re an Aussie your umpires were worse! Bailache, French ,Randell etc? Cairns no balled for intimidatory bowling at his pace just so Walters could get his tonne? Now that’s fkn cheating, and don’t get me started on non lbw MCG 1987 McDermott, pot kettle, pot kettle..🤦♂️

I'm glad that Viv retired when he did ! You see so many people of sports carry on , well past their best , that at times they can be sad to watch ! I grew up watching Viv Richards , and feel very blessed to have watched him play at his brilliant best !

Because of Australian just wanted to keep him under their control otherwise he would be more devastating bowler. He not number one fast bowler just like an idiot but very intelligent bowler I have seen ever before

Video quality is very poor because Australian never wanted New Zealand to over win Because Australian always kept New Zealand as their last or least youngest brother

1:07:08 An out swinger! Here in Australia, I remember Lance Cairns being an inseing bowler but that delivery was an out swinger. Commentator describes it as, "...cutting away...". It definitely curved in the air though. Not easy, since Cairns' action was conducive to in swing. Only other bowler I know, who bowls chest on but can deliver a well directed out swinger, is Ben Stokes. Both Cairns & Stokes are South Island lads. Maybe it's something in the water... LOL!

As a schoolboy I remember a Kent v Leics match at Mote Park, Maidstone in which, during the lunch interval, David Gower and a number of his Leics colleagues (Nick Cook, Brian Davison, Chris Balderstone) joined in our schoolboy cricket game on the outfield. His teammates challenged David Gower to bat using a cricket stump whilst we all took turns bowling at him (using a soft tennis ball), his teammates included. He middled everything. That's how good his eye was!

I was only going to sift through and just see what was on here, but i became so gripped and enthralled, i watched the entire video. Marvellous memories, especially those great games of the 80s when i was a child/teenager...and with 2 gentlemen of the calibre of Jim Swanton and Tim Rice, both hugely knowledgeable about the game, made it even more watchable. I wish it was 1991 again, when this video was made.
