This is really good stuff, but do all the machines stay in sink when you connect the MRCC to the DAW and sequence midi notes from the DAW to the all the synths, do they stay tight and in sync, I am not talking about sending Midi Clock to the machines if they have sequencers, just basic Midi playback from the DAW, this is how most people worked late 80s and 90s before everyone went totally in to Audio recording. Thank you.

Hey! Thanks for the nice comments. Technically I'm not sure what they've got down for MIDI latency, but from my own experience I've never really notice any issues just playing synths via MIDI over the setup. My setup is connected via USB and I access all the MIDI ports through Ableton Live 11. I have a large amount of synth connected to it - including keyboards, modules and rackmount synths.

@@ranzee That is the set up I am thinking off but when you start recording midi notes on your DAW for all those keyboards, module etc, and start building a song or looping say 16 bars as you add more parts, do all those machines stay in sync, this is the real issue because playing individually some stuff and putting couple of tracks down is not really going to be problem. I am not talking about recording audio, just full on midi playback from the DAW to all the machines, that is the real test because after all, you want to make a song out of all those parts and before you commit to print to audio you want to maybe change some parts with other patches etc. Looking forward to your reply. @@PermanentGreen No probs, considering I didn't make the thing, you'd probably be better off asking Conductive Labs - as they'd be ontop of all this kinda stuff. All I can say is from my personal experience it works great! And I'm already doing what you are supposedly wanting to do.

Much of the criticism of the V Stage makes little sense. It seems to be forgotten that Roland started the stage keyboard (with separate controllable organ, piano and synth layers) with the Roland VR 760 in the early 2000s. Nord then ‘copied’ this style of keyboard…. Why should Nord therefore have a monopoly on the stage keyboard?

I think in a battle between Nord and Roland I can only afford Viscount keyboard...it's almost as good and 2k cheaper. Great show, btw!

Excellent video Ranz and excellent module FBM! Nealy got one when they first came out, but resisted (which was tough). Looks quite a versatile phaser. It sure loved that string synth: was it the Streichfett or VC340?

1:36:15 hi Ranzee. Can you get the MPC One to send audio out to Mx-1 mono channels 1, 2, 3, 4? I’m trying with my MPC One+ and outputs to the stereo pairs work fine, but the mono tracks are silent. Really want to output to mono channels (especially my kick) for live performance.

Interesting - I’ll need to check out blue arp, as it sounds great. The best hardware implementation I’m aware of for doing this is the QY700 (or QY series in general) for programmable patterns triggered by chords. It has preset patterns but also 99 user patterns.
