Is it smart to put Rubber Bands on this gripper to make smaller jumps in terms of resistance for better progressive overload?

The reverse band one at the end was cool. That your antagonist training?
@OldManArmStrengthАй бұрын
Yea man. It gets rid of the toothache pain that side pressure causes like almost instantly. Another thing that has been helping tons is speed day and hitting against a chain. It's like a vibrating massage on the elbow joint from the constant abrupt stop, and it actually seems like the micro damage from it makes me heal way faster than if I was only doing just max days. My elbows feel pretty good right now and I think it's from adding the plyometrics in on the speed days. I'm working on getting faster on those so I can hit harder against the chain. Notice how they start slow but the more comfortable the body gets, the faster it starts hitting with the same amount of weight. Todd Hutchings knows what he's talking about with this kind of training with the isos and plyometrics

I'm not seriously into grippers atm because of arm wrestling. I got to a 3.5 by doing holds and overcoming isometrics (overcrushes) almost every single day. Minimal movement with very heavy grippers seems to transfer into parallel sets and block sets pretty nicely. I think isometrics are the way to go for progressing on hand grippers as a whole

Table weights will be max, speed, and volume. 3 + isometrics on off days. Isometrics don't bother me, so I could probably do those every day and be fine

@kinggriffith386Ай бұрын
@@OldManArmStrength what is a heavy static holds vs negative?
@OldManArmStrengthАй бұрын
@@kinggriffith386 Holding is forcing it closed and squeezing it even tighter to prevent it from opening. A negative is when the gripper is forcing your hand back open while you're fighting it because you aren't actually strong enough to hold it closed

The ezreal pulley; is it 2:1 ratio?
@OldManArmStrength4 ай бұрын
It’s 1:1 hence the crane scale. It would have to be connected to another movable pulley that is connected to the weights and an anchor point for it to be 2:1. I wish I had a 2:1 because it would be smoother.
