David, you are a good fellow. The world needs more good role models like you brother. This is the only instructional video that’s genuinely relevant and useful for beginners. It’s obvious that you are not after financial gain but after public support and education. May Allah bless your heart and soul. Thank you so much brother

Super helpful. I’m having trouble finding a comfortable posture for this one. For me, an uncomfortable position means I’m less conscious about how my muscles are being targeted. Definitely trying these tips out!

Technology has changed so fast, ChatGPT can now instantly generate a workout program, but I still need human coaching on how to do the exercises properly as a language model can't do that.

Nothing wrong with pre workout static stretching, im a PT and been doing static stretching since a kid , 41 now and never had a muscle injury thus far.

Some study says, stretching before exercise, might temporarily reduce muscle power. Because the streching will lengthen the muscle, which may affect muscle's ability to contract explosively. But its just minimal 😊 thats what i know. But it ddnt stop me to stretching

And so one should do this with the foot in a flexed position? My calf will be rock hard if I do that so will have to press very hard to get deeper contact into the edge of the posterior shin.

There was a long jumper that spoke on this . Im paraphrasing when i say this . "I trained years and years of my life to jump that distance, but just then theres always videos of highschool kids doing it for the first time and out jumping me"

Question, how long do you have to hold a certain weight halfway down to guarantee you can get 1 rep out of it? My hold record is 215 for 5 seconds.

Update, i had a stress fracture and i am currently taking a break from all training that pressure my legs. Guys i really do recommend you taking MR picture early on this and not waiting, because it can tell you if its stress fracture or not and eventually what kinda fracture if it is

I've had shin splints for 5 months now. Had to stop running, couldn't even go on walks anymore. I tried everything, I'm 3 weeks in now having done the scraping with a gua sha and I haven't had any pain since...I'm going to try running again soon! It's interesting that neither of the physiotherapists I went to mentioned this technique. I'm assuming it's because there's no studies or "proof" on it yet. I hope they do some soon because it really works.

For everyone asking: Use a GUA SHA for scraping. It’s smooth at its edge, has many uses across the body, and is the traditional tool for this method.

We did these in a power-cage of a chalk hard core gym I owned over 30 years ago to help build our benches. We would go in there and put up 405 to 455 for 6 seconds and do as many sets as we could. It works. You can do it for all of your big lifts but I would only do them in a cage unless you think your spotter can pull 400 or 500 pounds off of you. We had some very strong guys at that place, some hitting over 550 without shirts.

This does work , you can also use a smith machine and do a static hold , I was able to get 2 sets of 8 reps with 405 on the smith machine doing this , and 315 on a regular bench was easy .

Hey there, I am using this method now for 3 days, I got really painfull to the touch lower legs now. The shin splint feels like its a little less painfull, but the painfull bruising doesn't seem to lessen yet. Does the painfull bruising go away eventually? Or am I just scraping to harsh. I do try to avoid the bone. Update: After some more time the bruising is almost gone, my shin splints feel alot better, only the right leg is still a bit achy. I also have a large muscle knot there, but it's getting smaller each day. I did try to scrape a little less hard and that fixed the bruising for me
