for 20 years i used a white face rat 308 as a dirty then the 90s green russian big muff as my main ,,,the big muff foot switch would always break so i own about 15 of them .its crazy how much tey are sellingb for now

Ben fatto, ottimo confronto, con diverse situazioni di suono, anche se dal confronto, MXR essendo un amplificatore restituisce il segnale con più volume tanto da distorcere al massimo, mentre l'altro essendo un preamplificatore restituisce un suono più debole, a parer mio. Suonando in una Band, musica anni '60/'70/'80, non riesco a gestire i volumi della mia chitarra nell'ambito del brano che ha parte di accompagnamento e pezzo solista, sto cercando un pedale che mi permetta di avere un volume costante per gli accompagnamenti, e aumentare il volume nel momento che devo fare l'assolo, per poi tornare al volume dell'accompagnamento schiacciando un solo pulsante, pensi che sia adatto a risolvere questo mio problema MXR Amp?

The NYC is better, you can do the tone wick mod to it in 5 minutes and the case has room for as many other mods as you want do.

My drive section consists of a vintage ts808, into a blues driver, then into the rat. I use the blues driver as an always on pedal, I boost it with the ts808 to give me a more hendrix type tone. I only turn the blues driver off when the rat comes on and I boost that with the ts808 for a super fuzzy tone. Those three pedals are all you need for any drive tone. I do want to try a ds1 and ds2 eventually though

Bass is always more forgiving than guitar with Fuzz.What is the real difference? You get some broader parameters at the cost of some of the open raw tone; IMO, the WM is the better option for guitar and bass, - it's the classic a hundred clones were copied off of.

Get a Boss GE-7. You can use it as a clean boost and tweak the EQ to sound however you want it to.

I own both. Both have a volume drop when engaged, and the EHX additionally has a slight bass cut that the Mooer does not - a feature characteristic of the vintage EMs. The Mooer is actually closer to a vintage EM than the EHX, if a little less three-dimensional sounding. The main problem with the EHX is the Rate knob. Full CCW is too slow, from 7:30-9 it sounds like a classic EM, and everything above that is Leslie noises. The Rate of the Mooer is far more usable across the board. Both go into crazy self-oscillation when the Color knob is cranked (the Mooer a bit too early IMO), but the EHX can be calibrated by messing around with the trimpots. The Range of the EHX is set to sweep a bit low, and causes a high-pitched squeal in Filter Matrix mode when the knob is cranked. This can be fixed by adjusting the Clock trimpot CCW. Neither can be run at 18v, but the Mooer can be run at 9v or 12v.
