Pardon me for asking but have you seen the 1989 Quebecois film "Jesus of Montreal" directed by Denys Arcand and if so what did you think of it?

Would you suggest making another "Revenge of the Remakes" video, "The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965) vs Jesus vs Nazareth (1977) vs The Passion of the Christ (2004)"? And another "Revenge of the Remakes" video "Ben-Hur (1959) vs Ben-Hur (2016)"

I've seen and heard of Samson and Delilah (1949) and Samson (2018) but I haven't seen anyone do a reaction video of these movies (not the trailers)

I agree with almost everything you said. I didn't feel like the characters matched your descriptions of them, but I still appreciate your viewpoint on TFA and the rest of the sequel trilogy. Your review is intellectually honest and is a valid summation.

Clean up?! Disney took only names of characters as I see it. It’s amazing book but has almost nothing to do with Disney’s version.

I prefer the original. The only quarrel I have with it is the casting of Buddy Hackett as Marcellus. I'm sure they cast him because he was a popular performer at the time, but he just seems wrong for the role, especially during his big number "Shipoopi." He can't sing all that well, and they covered up his lack of dancing skills by having him surrounded with dancers while he does a little kick here and there. It's too low-energy for what is the main dance number of the show. I wish they had cast Stubby Kaye, who played Nicely Nicely Jones in Guys and Dolls and Marryin' Sam in Li'l Abner. Now he could have handled the singing with no problem, and he could have been more animated during the dance, as well.

Ever since Batman 1989 my dad would take my sisters and I to see every single Batman release in theaters to this day, and Catwoman in this film is how I knew I was a big ol lesbian when I was 8 years old. Oh and can we talk about Siouxsie and the Banshees on this soundtrack?! And the subtle jab at the characters when the band played “Superfreak” at the big formal dance scene… 🎉🎉 Also this is my favorite Christmas movie!!

My one complaint about this movie is the abruptness of the ending, which, as we have it, leaves a lot of loose ends hanging. Most people probably don't know that the screenplay (which can be downloaded from the Internet) actually includes an epilogue showing Smith returning in triumph to his hometown, Saunders in tow, and Senator Payne's political career being salvaged, not to mention the villainous Mr. Taylor being arrested and the governor running for president. Maybe the lack of this epilogue doesn't bother anyone else, but to me, the lack of a suitable denouement is the one flaw in an otherwise perfect film. But it's well worth watching, in any case!

Shirley Jones is wonderful as Marian in the 1962 film! Her solo numbers are perfectly suited to Shirley's rich mezzo-soprano voice.

Hattie McDaniel spent the entire Oscar ceremony at the Selznick table, even if she was not under confract. Her "official" table was at the edge of the stage. I am a little surprised that you think there was a lot that couldn't be done in a 1939 film in which a man's face graphically is blown to pulp! The exposition scene with Mammy is for time concerns....after all, we hear Rhett ask Scarlett who the father of her child is before he evades her and she falls to a miscarriage. I think it's edgy for all times.

By far the best Robin Hood. I love how he's happy. He and his men are laughing throughout the movie. Not moping, introspective, or hesitant. A confident hero who's having fun. Need more of that.

What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more!

I’m not a believer of him being Anti-Semitic. I think he was going to through a very difficult time in his life where he became someone else for a time. It’s no secret that he had alcoholic problems that stem even during filming of his most iconic movies. Alcoholics say and do things that aren’t necessarily themselves. I’ve been around and had a relationship with a woman who was a serious alcoholic so I know what happens when they go on tirades and rants. Some of them are very hurtful and aggressive. Some of it doesn’t even make sense. But you can see a great shame lives within them. Mel had this problem too and i believe he’s made peace with it, accepted it and made steps to take care of himself.

The best Zorro is the 1940 Mark of Zorro and the sword fight between Power and Rathbone is terrific. Guy Williams was also appealing in the TV series. I've seen the Antonio Banderas ones and they did not impress me. I've never wanted to see them again but I've seen the 1940 one a lot and always enjoy it.Not only is the action good but Linda Darnell and Tyrone Power have beautiful chemistry. Rathbone said Errol Flynn was a lousy swordsman but Tyrone Power was very good.

Earth has 2 Billion humans following the anti - christ teachings of the Qu'ran (where they reject Jesus is God)... So It is on Christian's duty to 1. Love them 2. Explain the Divinity of Jesus to them and of course 3. Repent, Pray, & follow Christ ... 🙂

My only issue with rise and the other apes movies (including 1970s etc) is that I wish they took more time to make it clear exactly how the apes just randomly learned how to talk. Not trying to nitpick more just thinking of a way the story could be more interesting.

My opinion I liked both versions of West Side Story. I do find a lot more depth to the 2021 remake and not just in the characters and performers, but the background. You know the demolition of the neighborhoods to make way for Lincoln Center. In real life, neighborhoods were torn down to make way for Lincoln Center and most of those buildings and torned down areas were used for filming the original 1961 film.

If there was a different remake of The Music Man I would imagine these performers in these roles: Harold Hill- Lin Manuel Miranda Marian- Lady Gaga Marcellus- James Monroe Iglehart Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn- Renee Zellweger Mayor Shinn- Will Ferrell Mrs. Paroo- Jane Lynch What do you think?
