It takes away from the true meaning of play that the only way these immature children chose death over, how human nature when left unchecked will always end in destruction. It was through loss of what each family held dear peace was found.
@StarlitBedtimeStories5 ай бұрын
I appreciate your perspective. In the traditional version, their deaths highlight the destructiveness of unchecked emotions and family feuds. However, in my kid-friendly adaptation, I chose to let them live to emphasize reconciliation and the power of love to overcome conflict, making it a more positive and hopeful story for younger audiences.

Pocahontas was actually abducted by the English and had to leave her child, raped repeatedly, forced to convert to Christianity, and was used to show that colonization was "good" for Indigenous peoples. This perpetuates stereotypes.

Not every story has a "happy ending". Unlike you, the content author, Hans Christian Andersen knew that life is not about "happy" and he saw the very real tragedies of poverty and sickness every day. Better to tell children the truth than happy lies.
@StarlitBedtimeStories11 ай бұрын
I completely agree that life is not all rainbows and sunshine, but unlike you, I see the potential in having an open ending to the story. Our story lets the listener think about what really happened in the end; did she die when the last match burned and therefore imagined her grandmother coming back from the dead (as you know, many can hallucinate when dying, especially in the cold). Or was it a miracle? Well, that is up to the individual listener to decide, and to use their imagination. I believe it is better to empower imagination with children, rather than always re-telling the stories exactly how the author did, if I see another ending being better. Anyways, it was also a request from a dear fan, to have a happier ending. Some like it, others do not.
@timichtimichev60517 ай бұрын
We must tell children all the truth - not only about tragedies of poverty, sickness, callous indifference and egoism, but also about the power of love, kindness, mutual assistance, attention and support. If we don’t ignore other people’s problems, but help them, then miracles become reality.

The video you saw didn't tell the true ending of Hans Christian Andersen's story. In the actual ending, the little match girl freezes to death because of the cold. Andersen's point is clear: it's crucial to teach children early on to help others before it's too late. As kids grow, they could become selfish and less caring, so it's important to instill values of kindness and generosity while they're still young.
@StarlitBedtimeStories Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, but it was requested from one of our viewers for us to make the story with a happy ending, which is why we created it with a more open ending, for viewers to make their own thoughts about what happens in the end - either if the sudden appearance of her grandmother is because the little match girl died, or if it is because a true miracle happened and she came back to life to save the little girl. As it is crucial for kids to know about helping each other, it is just as important for them to use their imagination and fantasy 😉

Aww, this was so cute!! I love how the Fairy Godmother volunteered to invite Santa Claus to the ball! I do, however, wish she would've felt like her stepfamily was another part of what was missing. Then they could've been invited to the ball as well and possibly given a chance to repent, to reflect how the Christmas season can change even the frozen hearts for the better. Since that wasn't included here, maybe that could be a Valentine's Day story? St. Valentine's Day is when we can show love to everyone, even those who aren't so nice to us. It also would've been cool to see something related to the Reason for the Season (Jesus) in the story, but that's probably just because I'm a Christian myself. Although, in the original story, there are Christian references, so it would've fit. it could've shown that the Cinderella in this universe is a Christian. Overall, very cute and charming! I can even see it as a continuation of "Cinderella and the Last Shooting Star", because Christmas reminds me of the Star of Bethlehem! Loved it!

Well, we are mainly focusing on kids and teenagers, but this particular story, we added a bit of scary stuff, so we wanted to put “not recommended for kids”, as some might become a bit scared - and our stories are not meant to bring nightmares to children. That being said, then we were in the spirit of Halloween, and felt that we needed to make a special story for that ❤️

I was eagerly watching this to see how accurate it would be to the Bible, and it was pretty close! My only complaints are that it wasn't specified that Jesus actually grew up in Nazareth, and I would've loved a mention of His ascension into Heaven. Other than that, I was squealing with delight to see that you included His resurrection (because I don't like adaptations that stop with His death), and I was OVERJOYED with how you didn't include "And that, my dear, is the end of our tale." You guys made it clear that He and His story are never-ending, and will live forever no matter what people try. Thank you SO MUCH for making this. It's incredibly wonderful that you not only told His story, but stayed mostly true to Scripture. 🥲 May God bless you.
