Hmmmm I think uping fuel pressure regulator is the wrong thing to do Basically forcing the injection system over pressure and using lots lots lots more fuel and no real advantage

I rung up specialist to see if i can turbocharge my 2009 fg but they said it wont be a great idea and the engine isnt made to run turbo snd it depends how healthy the engine is and it be better to just get a tune maybe headers aswell, or just buying a turbo...is this true? Seems like everything i qanna do specialist are telling me i cant and guiding me to do stuff i dnt wanna do , i went to mag n turbo to get 19s rims that i saw on a fg falcon which looked mean and the guys said nah fitment no good best get 17s..i adked for coilovers they say no good best get king springs...id love to be able to get others opinions if i can turbo my fg falcon 2009 sedan well kept 180k on the clock..

Looks Good ! I did this to a FG sedan about 6 years ago. Managed to get 510rwhp before Valve float with the stock springs.540 rwhp at about 14 psi when the springs were done. Got the car to run a 13.6 second pass when it was still Atmo and got a bit faster with the turbo.....ZF atmo box does not handle that level of power/torque for long :) !

Hell yeah, might need a few of those parts for my barra patrol. Would the turbo bracket only suit the pulsar turbos or could it possibly suit the factory or even a generic ebay turbo?

Hey guys do you know what the na valve springs max psi rating is. Ive finished my build about a month ago and ran into the same problem as you guys with the na injectors maxing out, im currently running 212kw, so im hoping just changing the injectors will allow me to get to that factory turbo power. Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunatly there is no set number, weve got guys getting valve float at 8 psi all the way to 15psi. For us, it was 13psi.

Hey m8, I have the same Pulsar Turbo on my FG. On our final power run We struggled with it to hold consistent boost level,suspecting it was a exhaust flow issue according to the dyno readings,ramping up to 16.8psi at 4000rpm and dropping off to about 14-13psi . I later found out that the Pulsar turbos,particularly this one needed more porting attention and the Pulsar wastegate itself wasn’t reliable.After much hassle and brainstorming ,I finally ended up putting on a 45mm external gate and and she runs like a dream - goes in for a tickle up next week 👌 Looking forward to seeing your dyno runs

You can buy fittings that go right onto the water lines and make it way easier to instal . I bought a greentop engine and swapped it all over because we all need 650bhp in our cars . Well my awd territory needs all the power it can get to get a 2 ton suv moving .

The coolant lines are lower than the coolant expansion tank, there isn't any way air can get into them once they are bled. they will act just like any other coolant line

I’ve just done my conversion on a bf wagon, definitely a few things you guys did that I wish I had thought of Also with the drilling of the sump, I got my workmate to blow air slowly through the filler cap as I was drilling the main drain hole, blew any swarf straight out Also are you guys doing the tune side yourself? I’ve been playing around with hp tuners getting it sorted and having a hard time to find any real info on using it, a lot for pcmtec but hard to wrap my head around it all be good to have a bit of a walkthrough

Hi Mate , main two tables to look at in pcmtec is borderline knock for timing and lambda fuel table. Also look up my post on pcmtec forum “ lean out on partial boost !” To look at forcing close loop correctly under boost . 😁👍

The compressed air sounds like a nice touch - if we ever pull the sump off it would be good to see how much if any swarf ended up in the sump. As for the tune side of things, we will continue to use the same dyno and tuner, this way we can get back to back comparissions. In terms of using HP tuners we dont really know a great deal, we leave that up to the proffesionals :)
