Tomb of Dracula #1 💪

Wow, finally a great list…. I have several of these books, including that detective comics 298 which I bought for a low amount several years ago. I wanna own tomb of Dracula 10, but I’m waiting to see if. MsheU actually makes the movie because I know that it’s just gonna drop the value of the comic like a rock since Disney just can’t get it together to make a decent movie anymore. Boba Fett 42 and Star Wars 1 are probably the only Star Wars #1 are the only comics I would try to get from star wars now. All the rest Star Wars comics are just losing value because of the garbage woke 💩 shows and movies they make now. But great list this week 💪

Please explain why you say "color depth" matters on a book BUT I have not seen a CGC book ever say "faded color" on their grade. Do they?

From my understanding you are accusing both the buyer and seller of being scammers because the comic sold for $500 and because the buyer has zero feedback even though you admitted to not knowing whether it sold or was taken down by ebay. i will admit it does look odd but this is not enough evidence to say they are scammers. i think if you're going to accuse someone of a crime then you need to present solid evidence of this and report it to the appropriate authorities. i understand where you are coming from but at the same time i think you need to be careful of accusing people without any evidence. it can become a habit and ruin peoples lives. that is why we have a legal system with courts of law so that the law may determine whether or not a person is guilty of the crime they are being accused of.

If that was a real sale on the 1st Thor, one I feel sorry for the buyer, and two I hope the seller added some Blow Pops in the package because a real sucker got played!

The problem I have been having is winning an auction the after I pay the seller cancels & refunds because they want more money.I have also won auctions,payed and then had to go through eBay to get my money back because the seller wouldn't ship the comics.This isn't isolated,I have had this happen about 14 times since January.

Sounds like a clueless guy who just pasted the description from someone else's listing. Probably no idea what CGC or 4.5 means.

Hey Lawrence, what’s up a few years ago I picked up on eBay amazing fantasy 15 8.0 restored for only $8500 I believe.. yes, I knew it was too good to be true. It was from a lady in Russia.. obviously, I never received the book. I got my money back, but it’s a pain in the ass.. yes you have to be careful. You are never going to get an amazing fantasy 15 restored 8.0 that CHEAP you should expect to pay $20,000 give or take a few thousand dollars.

I was scammed on ebay and ebay has done nothing to help. Case closed. Beware on ebay guys

Journey to Mystery uses deception to trick buyer. They are selling a modern reprint, but using old photos of a different comic.

It's simple people,if the book is too good to be true then it is more likely a scam so always make sure you know what you are buying cause there are a lot of scammers out there trying to take advantage of people.

I think on that first book - this was listed by a person who had not idea. What he did was look at another listing and do “sell one like this” and AI wrote the description. He probably got a lot of questions and took it down himself.

It could just be someone selling books from someone deceased who has no idea of what they could be selling and needs the money? Zero feedback does not necessarily denote scam. In this case it would actually work out HUGE for the buyer if they acquired a real copy even if not in 4.5.

It's scary buying raw at those high prices. Got burned many times buying raw at online auctions.

Truth is that now might be a great time for run collectors to get some of those bigger keys. With prices beat as much as they are there may never be a better time to purchase some of these books

As some one that sold an asm 129 cgc 7.5 for $300 but then bought a cgc 9.8 ow-w that i thought I massively over paid at $3000 but sat on for 15 years , then regretted selling during the covid boom , Im more than happy to sit on for another 15 years . The dilemma soon will be as it was graded so long ago , do I resubmit clean and press hoping for a 9.9 ? As my clean and press guy pointed out to me , whats to stop CGC from changing their grades to go up to 12 , in the next few years ? I think im getting too old for this shit lol.

Is it better for me to hold on to my 2 copies of Secret Wars 8 in 9.2 and 9.4 or sell/trade them both for a 9.6? Not for resale. These are on my esteemed comic wall in my PC.
