What would be your top 20 cards to send away for grading also now I know series 15 had two variance which one is the most expensive one is it the die cut or the non-cut? I have the Di cut variant. What’s the difference between the two and what’s with the set be for price?

There are a lot of silver age books sitting on ebay going nowhere. Silver Age on it's own is not a good investment. You have to have a good silver age. Scarcity + desirability = collectibility. You can buy silver age lots of $100-200 right now. It's a fire sale. Also, alot of these folk don't bother cleaning and pressing their siiver age books. This can add a lot of value.

Like high grade CGC books when prices are lower. At some point, they will go back up in price. Plus they look better. Ex: Silver Surfer 4. Looks flawless. 🤩

Mark my words...with PSA getting into the comic grading space they will strike a deal with eBay to be the comic book authenticator just like they are with cards.

eBay is the king of prices... since i have no idea what GPA or Key Collector use for their data honestly. If i want to know how much a comic is going for, ebay is first. Those apps may use ebay idk. I don't know about using ebay for huge expensive keys since i don't have the money for that sort of stuff... $600 + etc

First off I’m a strong believer on collect what you love so I’m going to buck the trend since I grew up in the Bronze Age. I would rather have the high grade not necessarily a 9.8 especially if it’s a 1.0 silver and I’m going to have to hold and look at it long term! Thinking silver is the better investment not always the case! Take for instance spider man 1 vs spider man 194. Compare a 6.0 number 1 vs a 9.8 194. In the comic boom a 6.0 made it to 45,000 while a 194 just under 6000. Now we’re looking at 15.000 vs 2,000. Pick these grades because on the census both around 600 at these two grades. Both lost comparable percentages but I would take the 4k hit much better than the 30k! I’m an avid believer that you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket and to diversify! Works for stocks and maybe should be applied to comics!

I’d take a silver age major key. First appearance of a A lister or top comic X men. Thor. Iron man. Avengers 1. FF1. Even take it in low grade for the history

ASM 121 9.8 census shows 89 copies - not scarce in grade. Great book, story and cover - that said I’d rather spend $275 for a 7.0 and use the $5,225 difference to step into a golden age book

Hey Lawrence, good morning I picked up amazing Spider-Man 121 9.8 White pages on eBay a few years ago for $3600. Gwen Stacy is my favorite female character at the same time. Basically I picked up amazing Spider-Man 122 for only $2000 9.8 at the New York comic con.. yes 121 sold for over $7000 not that long ago on Comic Link 9.8.. with the auctions you never know what the hell you are getting into. As you know, I was the owner of the superman 1 5.0 moderate professional restoration, no trimming the only sold for $40,000 last week heritage auctions. Of course I’m never going to get over that. I was devastated watching the sale.. mainly because on Comic Link last month Superman 1 4.5 restored lots of trimming sold for more than $60,000.🤯🤯🤯

The quality of books have gone down on ebay but ya popular books are going up i think but I've got some deals for some80sdark horse comics

5K on a golden age comic with a low census 👍

Great post... Not surprised for some of these books where people slightly overpaid... There are so few sales of each of these books at that specific grade, especially the BatMan golden age keys. Im sure people with a short wish list were zeroing in on specific books and willing to pay a few extra to get now vs. hope they come up again in a month or 2, if ever... I also feel there is more bottoming out overall and people are being more selective vs. spray and pray.

Not all copies are created equal

This is why I stopped using CGC three years ago.. This 9.8* case was not graded that long ago, on a re-holder book should check photo files.=the MJI is almost always visible from outside case.. Your guess on them cracking/swapping it is probably what happened. CBCS for me always (not that they're not without faults) I just always had more honest grades good and bad from them.
