Any reason why you wouldn't use a tenon block? They are cheaper, can cut scribes and can cut deeper tenons? I guess if you already have 2 grooving blocks for some reason?

Hello mate, Iv got jet JWS-34kx spindle moulder. Just wondering what model you have and have you had the spindle out to fit 1/4 and 1/2 router bits. I can’t get my spindle out. Do you need a angle grinder type spanner to turn the spindle wile you hold the nut. Many thanks.

I need to make a template with an eighteen foot radius for an arch. Interesting.... It looks like you joined two pieces of particleboard to get your length. How did you join them together?

Why does every one make windows using pine? It seems to me that something like maple would be more durable and last much longer than a soft wood like pine?
@Crooks1033 жыл бұрын
Pine with a Hardwood sill is a standard practice. Joinery needs to be treated with a timber preservative. That is good enough for pine. If you need to use Hardwood then a tropical Hardwood is a good choice.
@Stop..carry-on5 жыл бұрын
Not seen it done like that , we make patterns then pin on roughly cut on bandsaw and use the ring fence on spindle to flush to patten

How to make curved doors? Start with parts that are already curved!
@johnshort44215 жыл бұрын
you did not say why you intersected the center line from the center of the outside line to the bottom line. Did you just randomly pick a point on the base line where a compass would draw the arc from top center to outer width? You gave no reasoning for your actions here, is the point on the base line one 3rd the distance from the center, one qtr from bottom up the center or what, you just stated center of outer lines to some point you picked prior to this video.

Dear Matthew, how as i found only you have Jet spindle moulder video on the internet. Right now am i in buying a moulder and i would like to choose between yours Jet jws 34Kx (1.500Euro) and the Hammer F3 (3.500.Euro) I would like to opt for the cheapest, but could you tell me something wrong or bad to your Jet, to could make an impression. What is sure, the Hammer does have 100w less power output than yours. Waiting your reply. Thank you.

A couple of questions: did you buy that dust collection guard or make it? How do you deal with wood chips getting caught between the jig and the rub collar in order to avoid misshapen results on the first pass?
