Nunca Es Suficiente Never Enough Me abrí de par en par Cut myself open wide Alcanzaste el interior Reach inside Te serviste tú mismo Help yourself De todo lo que tengo que dar To all I have to give Y luego te sirves a ti mismo otra vez And then you help yourself again Y luego te quejas de que And then complain that No te gustó la manera You didn't like the way Puse el cuchillo mal I put the knife in wrong No te gustó la forma en la que You didn't like the way Mi sangre se derramó en tu piso nuevo My blood spilled on your brand new floor ¿Qué dirías What would you say Si me alejara? If I walked away ¿Lo apreciarías? Would you appreciate Pero entonces sería demasiado tarde But then it'd be too late Porque solo yo puedo soportar tantas de tus maneras malagradecidas Because I can only take so much of your ungrateful ways Todo nunca es suficiente Everything is never enough Sacrifico mi vida Sacrifice my life Descuido a mis hijos y esposa Neglect my kids and wife Todo para que seas feliz All for you to be happy Todas esas noches sin dormir All those sleepless nights Y tantas peleas para darte más And countless fights to give you more Y luego dices que cómo me atrevo And then you say how dare that No te escribí de vuelta I didn't write you back Debo ser demasiado bueno para ti I must be too good for you Solo me preocupo por mí mismo I only care about myself ¿Qué dirías What would you say Si me alejara? If I walked away ¿Lo apreciarías? Would you appreciate Pero entonces sería demasiado tarde But then it'd be too late Porque solo yo puedo soportar tantas de tus maneras malagradecidas Because I can only take so much of your ungrateful ways Todo nunca es suficiente Everything is never enough

I genuinely dislike DM, i find it soulless and tedious. Prog bands that both predated and preceded them made me interesting, evocative, artistically well progressive. Dream Theater is like video game music made by North Korean teens on Adderal. Taking itself a little too seriously, and not saying a whole lot or painting a unique picture that I find enjoyable. I’m fine with hyper technical music, I’d take Necrophagist over this any day, but there is a sterile aspect to DMs music I could never get past. I’m glad you guys enjoy it though.

@@mellowtron214Well it's okay, I guess. One thing I wonder about though is how you ended up on the least popular song in a relatively unpopular album of a band you don't even like 🤨

Ok I hear how the guitar tuning is really similar to Stockholm Syndrome by Muse, and the tempo is similar too, but really? they don't sound alike at all

I’m a huge muse fan and this song just made me obsessed with Dream Theater. This is legit Stockholm Syndrome on f crack and heroine.

This is gonna sound crazy, but maybe they deliberately tried to make the chorus as underwhelming as possible in order to bait people into complaining about it, thus proving the song's point.

All Foldoe said is true. I, as a bass teacher would say that the song is great, the vocals was one of the best he made, and so on. Bass? Whoever was faster than him? Maybe me. I bought Myung"s DVD and he brought me to the 3fingers era. Thanks so much.

Whiny rant ahead: I quit a job that was killing me against my dad's advice so I could work on a personal project of 8 years and a scale that would normally be made by an entire team of people. I had to move back in with my parents because my savings were running out due to rent and the alternative was to lose everything and be homeless, I still pay my parents so my savings are slowly slipping away. My dad tells me to get a real job so I give him a date that I will release the project and should start making money. The only jobs I've ever (software industry) had were unsustainably stressful and full of absolute clowns. The personal project stops being about passion and becomes about money because of my dad. I bust my ass to the point of physical pain to make the project public within a month of the date I promised so I could prove to my Dad that it could be done, but despite all my efforts it didn't make a cent off the project. I find something else that I'm just starting to make money off of and he says it's a good side gig. I say I should keep at it as long as more money comes in month after month and he says that's not good enough. What more does he want? When I ask that I find suddenly the goalposts have moved! He starts telling me I can't spend my life in my bedroom, living with parents and having no social life even though I only spend so much time there working my ass off to try and satisfy him. it's the middle of a damn pandemic and I have more of a social life than his dumb boomer ass because I talk to friends on VOIP every day. Well I see how it is, there is no pleasing this man, so I'm giving up trying. Fuck you and your unattainable boomer standards, Dad! 🖕

They purposefully made it to pay homage to Stockholm Syndrome and Muse did the same on their next album with Assassin. Has a very DT sound. It’s great little comradeship between the bands
