Love a 5 cylinder engine, as they have a unique sound and can be quite fast (well maybe not this Honda)... Shame about this car being a bit of a dud, but I wonder if these engines can take any boost?
@violetstill117 сағат бұрын
Here in the USA, we had the Acura Vigor. Same engine just a different front end. My older brother had 2 of them with over 250,000 miles on the clock, they were absolutely bulletproof. I had one with 50k miles since it sat for almost 10 years, started right up the first try and was an amazing daily driver with a crazy amount of low end torque.

I know how ya feel about dishonest sellers on trade me. A couple of months ago I brought a Honda Odyssey rb1 as a flip project. The seller said he was leaving nz and all it needed was a new power steering pump. Well yes the power steering pump was leaking but also the left front tire had a cut, the engine light was on, the engine had almost no oil when I got it and it was leaking too, and to top it all off the CVT was slipping like nothing else. Oh and the starter motor died as soon as I got home. It is now on trade me again but I am seriously considering taking it off and entering it in a demolition derby instead.

I had a *MANUAL* 2.5L Honda Ascot, it was Wonderful. It sounded wonderful and ran beautifully the 5 years I had it. It had 18K km on the clock when I got it and was as Mint as you'd expect. Sold it in the same condition just with 50K more KMs on it. Kinda regret selling it.

Seems like a pretty standard car from Turner's. Those guys are experts at hiding faults due to camera angles and simply lying about the running condition of a vehicle. Would be cool to buy a car with this type of issue and actually build it on your channel. A decent car, something worth the money haha.

followed a mate from raumati South to levin in his ledgend fully mint service wise. he had full exhaust extractors and a stainless exhuast and inless intake cold/hot air 5 speed auto. them ledgends move mate. he was in his fzr900 on the straights. I was hit n 240 kmh piece of piss him, and his bike was not pulling away to say the least ae, those legends, hence the name. mate. lol. I hope you kept it. they go hard with next no tickles at all silly fast na application and the compression os solid for a plus t ❤
@Tight--LiNeZ11 сағат бұрын
There is no such bike as an FZR900. There was an FZR1000 and there's a FZ900 (a FZ-09 here is NZ) and a XSR900. And no Honda Legend on Earth could keep up with either three. It was likely a FZ400, and even if they had a similar top speed, a bike would have been gone miles away from a Honda Legend, so it would be sitting at that speed, and the car had gotten up to that speed, much more slowly. From stand still, any three of those bikes would disappear, and if the car had a few more kms top speed (eventually), it would have slowly gotten up to that speed, but it would take road tens of miles long to do it. Comparing the top speed of an un-faired naked bike (if you mean an FZ-09 or Xsr900 (a FZR1000 would destroy it, top speed including), with the eventual top speed of a car, does not make a car fast. Fast for a Honda Legend, sure. From 0-250kms, all three of these bikes would make a Honda Legend look like an ant in the rear view. You clearly don't ride, or at least not properly. Silly AllDayBlazer. Don't you know smoking weed all day is dumb and teenager like? You smoke at the end of the day, when you have all your shit done (i'd have thought you would've worked that out, if you were born in 1989). Or the stuff you do manage to get done, just comes out pear-shaped. A bit like your comment.

My mum had a 1996 white CR-V (Japanese import). She was the first NZ owner of it since it was imported from Japan in 2007 (it was done nearly 83,000kms when it came to NZ). She had it for 10 years and had driven about 193,000 kms in it. It had two cambelt replacements, yes, two (one in 2009 and other circa 2014), because I told my mum that the cambelt has to be replaced every 100,000kms. Do you know any common problems in first-gen CR-V's (e.g. rust around the windscreen area)?
@KiwiCarLife10 сағат бұрын
As far as I'm aware they're pretty simple reliable cars. But yeah as they're now getting on 30 years old, rust will be the biggest issue keeping them off the road. And just general wear and tear. All the CV's and bushings will probably be shot, oil leaks, etc.
