Diving with dinosaurs! I've been busy recovering, done some shooting. Tomorrow is another range day with an out of towner. Then Thursday, I've got a surprise to show off!

Team Sturgeon has another successful Sturgeon hunt to capture video of the elusive prehistoric beasts. Well done.😊

Thank you! Yes a great dive! I was happy with some of my footage.... I missed a few great shots as well. That tiny gopro button with cold hands is tough to activate sometimes!

Looky Bastidg, I'm on the mend from that pneumonia that's been released. I get winded walking 100 ft or so, I hate it'll be another couple weeks before it's all gone.

Wow getting sharks to equate people with food, what could go wrong?
@submrg26 күн бұрын
Yes! There was a beach not far away with lots of swimmers! I won't support that again when I travel. I'm glad we experienced it but that's the last shark feed for us.

Are we talking in regards to the S.S.Slocan Sternwheeler at the beginning here?
@submrgАй бұрын
Yes the shipwreck is the remains of the Slocan
@Jack-2dayАй бұрын
What predominately is all that debris, is it from the mil which once was nearby. Or possibly from the location of where the railcars loaded the sternwheelers back in the day? Cheers
@submrgАй бұрын
It's from both. Near the Pilings is an old box car wreck and many wheels. This used to be a reloading station for box cars and barges before the rail line was completed. Farther along in the underwater forest is from the mill.

I didn’t know that there was a PADI certification called NASCAR Hyper dive Scooter Cert! Very nice.

Just wanted to say thank you for getting me interested in diving again! I have wanted to for years but now I have snorkelled the Kuskanook and the Hosmer near Nelson. I have dove the SS Whitesmith near Sicamous on Shuswap Lake and have a video of it on my channel. I hope to be diving in Kootenay and Slocan lake this spring.

Best visibility is usually had in the winter months when there is no run off and it's too cold for an algae bloom. Enjoy!

We saw this on a canoe. One of the most freaky experiences of my life. I felt an incredible amount of fear going over it for no apparent reason.
@submrg3 ай бұрын
I think seeing underwater can be a deep seated fear that is hard wired into our dna to keep up from dying way back in the day!

Do you realize you are looking at the former townsite of Renata established in the late 1800s on the Lower Arrow Lake I know because I grew up there as a child in the 50s and 60s.It was a thriving orchard community with a general store, a one room school., a wharf and later a cable ferry to take you to the other side known as Deer Park where you could drive to the nearest town of Castlegar approx. 25 miles away. Before the cable ferry established the paddlewheelers used to stop there. The concrete slab you see is the former cemetery. It was slabbed over in the 1960s due to the provincial government of the day and B.C. Hydro buying every resident out burning the homes that were left and then flooding the townsite to make way for the Keenleyside Dam. Great place to grow up with very fond memories. Too bad it wasn't preserved.Great history!
