Silverton BC Box Car Wrecks at Copper Beach Feb 14 2024

Another beautiful day on Feb 14! R3 and I made the long drive to Silverton and we were not disappointed! The conditions were awesome! On the way up a shifting tank turned itself on and leaked some air out! R3 and I got a great 'one tank low on air' plan together! The tie down rope on the tank was frozen and slacked off during our drive up. We made the drive we'll do the dive! lol We still spent 36 minutes at 58 feet! Temp was 40F 5C under the beautiful Slocan Lake! We love the Slocan Valley!
The scooter was awesome again and we zipped all over the site! Sharing air from R3's tank about 1/4 of the way into the dive. Amazing Alt air skills! lol I am really grateful for my bestest dive bro! I'm also loving our scuba gear! That was R3s dive #59 and most of those have been in that dry suit! 40F is cold temps for our regulators and they have not had a problem. Great stuff!

Beautiful. I'm amazed at your ability to navigate narrow spaces with the scooter, a passenger and holding the camera in place too! I'd run into something for sure!

What strikes me most is the eerie sense of desolation. All that beautiful bottom structure, and not a single fish or crustacean in sight!

I agree! We saw one fish but the terrain is pretty cool! The wreck itself has an interesting history in a lake filled with history. At this point in my dive life I'm ready to trade it away and dive in the ocean on every outing with my daughter.
